File # 4 - [ Text ]

[ Sherlock brings out his communication device as soon as John is spotted. ]

Dr. Watson has been found at an oasis. It seems the riddles were really just that, nothing more than a game. The Doctor was with me, just as requested.

Is this really all there is to it?

[ John squints his eyes upon seeing a very familiar figure in the distance - he does think it's a mirage at first.]

Sherlock?

[ He takes a step forward, realizing that it's all too real it has to be him.

And good god, he must look horrid. His pants are tattered, his shirt removed and tied around his head to protect himself from sunburn. And, of course, the Doctor's coat is draped upon his shoulders. ]

[ Sherlock raises a hand to protect his eyes from the sun. He was in too much of a rush to bother searching the flat for his sunglasses. ]

John! [ He smiles at the man as he gets closer. Of course he's alright. He was a soldier for God's sake. ]

I was wondering when you'd show up.

[ There's this thing which the body does where it basically switches into survival mode. The need for food and water, pains, aches, and all that slightly deteriorate until the body realizes that it's not longer in danger.

This is now happening to John. ]

Could we possibly leave now? I'm starting to feel a bit dizzy.

[ Yes, of course, John's system would be in distress by now. The adrenaline is probably long gone. ]

I brought water. Here. [ Sherlock hands the doctor a bottle of water from a small bag he thought to grab on his way out of the flat. ]

So there was nothing noticeable that would have changed if you hadn't worked together to solve the riddle?

No. As far as I can tell, the Doctor is a smart enough man to have found his coat on his own.

Maybe it was only said to see how many would follow the instructions.

I would probably have gone by myself, were the situation different.

Rather cruel for her to take a person. Most definitely can't be allowed to continue these 'experiments'.

I suppose so. I don't see the purpose of the activity, other than to observe. And perhaps boredom.

It could be many things, though experience tells me it won't be anything good for us. Trouble always finds him - my Doctor. You had a person taken, what about the Doctor?

Trouble finds a lot of us. The Doctor's taken item was an overcoat. Safe and sound.

I'm so glad you found him! Is everything all right?

Yes, he's fine. I'm getting him back to the city now.

[ Sherlock is surprisingly comforted speaking with someone he and John are closer to. It's been a while since they chatted last! ]

He's not hurt or anything? Do you need any help?

[He better be, Vanille's been fretting over not hearing from John lately.]

I think we can manage alright, thank you. John was a soldier once, he'll survive.

[ So has Sherlock. D; ]
