[ Campbell takes awhile to make the decision to head to the hospital. He's been holed up in his apartment since he was bitten and he had gradually gotten worse. He isn't the sanest of people at the best of times, but added the voice of his dead best mate into the mix? Really messing with his head. So eventually he drags himself to the hospital looking worse for wear. He looks exhausted and paler than ever. Poor thing. ]

[With the other doctors bustling around to attend to other's in need of the cure (or worse in some cases), it is just by luck that Naomi happens to approach Campbell this time around. Dear, he isn't looking too well at all, is he?]

Have a bad encounter with a mean frog?

[proudlooney]

I uh... aye? Mebbe. [ He's a little incoherent. Sorry Naomi. ] I... can you hear it?

[scientize]

[Not to worry. This kind of reaction is absolutely a pleasure to work with compared to those suffering from uncontrollable rage.

Naomi waves over a plump nurse to get another dose of the antidote prepared. As she bends to inspect Campbell's face, her reply comes casually and detached.] Hear what? Tell me what you are hearing?

[proudlooney]

[ To be fair he's a lot calmer than he has been. Still, he's here and that's the main thing, right? ] Fergus. You cannae hear him? All the time. Day an' night. I see him everywhere too...

[scientize]

[Her dark eyes connect with his just as the nurse and antidote appear at her side.] I'm afraid I don't.

Can you focus on me for a moment. What's your name?

[proudlooney]

I... [ He tries to focus. ] Campbell. Campbell Bain... I'm Campbell...

[scientize]

Campbell, [Naomi repeats sweetly, reaching out to rest her hand gently against his arm.] I'm Doctor Naomi.

Tell me, Campbell, do you have any known allergies?

[proudlooney]

No' that I know of. [ And medicine-wise, he's had a lot of drugs in the past without problem. ]

[scientize]

[Unfortunately, that's about the best they can do. If this was a regular situation, she would have time to test and prepare and make sure that there would be no further complications down the line. But the crisis at hand just wouldn't allow them the time or effort for that right now.]

Good. I hope you aren't afraid of needles. This will take just a moment.

[proudlooney]

I'm used to 'em. Goes wi' the territory o' being a loony...

[Naomi gives him a brief look at the mention of him being 'loony', but says nothing. Instead, she takes his arm gently in her hand, wipes a small area clean, and injects him with the necessary frog venom cure. It stings a little, but nothing else.]

There. That's all I can do. It will take a few minutes to take effect and then you should be back to normal within the next few hours.

[proudlooney]

[ Not the worst injection he's ever had by far. He smiles at her, and jokingly says... ]

Normal is overrated!
