[ Ezio had woken up in some strange places in his lifetime, especially once he became an assassin. But this, this was way different than waking up in, say, a random woman's bed or a bale of hay. The smell was awful, the sheer white of the room blinding as he sat up. He was greeted by a woman, welcoming him to some unfamiliar city -- ]
Aliunde? [

[ Why does this place gotta hit him right in the feels? Desmond really, really is disliking Aliunde the more it goes on. His life story. ]
...Ezio? [ It's Ezio alright. He knows that accent and face. Except it's about thirty years younger than what he's used to now. Desmond is almost stunned. More at the fact that he's back, and younger, rather than seeing his ancestor. ]

Who's there? Show yourself.

Great.
[ Desmond sighs and is already on his way out of the den to the hospital. His white hood is up. Altair wanted him to keep a low profile for a while, so, he's been doing his best to stay out of the way of people and not obviously be an assassin. Have fun talking to the air for a bit, Ezio. ]

A passing group of people makes it easy enough to blend in. Good luck with that, Desmond. ]

Probably not.
Desmond stands up to his full height and begins to tail his ancestor. How long is it going to be before he notices? ]

He continues to weave through the crowds, staying in groups as best he can. Something is nagging at the back of his mind and he can't quite tell what it is. He knows something is missing; that instinctive sense that he's had long before he even became an assassin. It's not there, there are no colours, no trails. Nothing. He is left to fend for himself and even without his eagle sense, he can tell someone is following him. His eyes dart over to spot Desmond, and he cuts through a group of people and into an alleyway as quickly as possible. ]

Damn. He really is young.
He gives a brief nod to the man. He's expecting his ancestor to be able to recognize the tricks and trades of the assassins. Tailing, watching. If he doesn't figure it out? Desmond can show him the burned finger he has. He received his mark when he was made an official assassin. He just knows how to cover it up when he's at work so no one notices. There's a debate inside him if he should hop down to the alleyway or let Ezio come to him.
And he decides to see if Ezio is going to come to him. ]

He watches, carefully judging the man's movements until he stills. If he wants Ezio to come to him, then so be it. Better this happens on a rooftop where no innocent will notice than in an alleyway with people passing by constantly. Soon enough the Italian is climbing along the edge of the building, keeping his distance as he hops up onto the roof to join Desmond. ]
I assume you were following me for a reason?

Desmond raises his hand and pulls back his sleeve to reveal his scar on his finger. It's more or less the same as bending the ring finger down to show being an assassin, but different times mean different ways. ]
You mean besides the fact that we're both assassins, right? [ Chalk it up to humor, Desmond's lovely defensive shield. ] I'm surprised to see that you're back, Ezio.

Si, besides that. [ he's about to say more, but then Desmond says his name again. Was he the one calling him before? ] See me back? Funny, I do not recall being here at all.

Aliunde is another planet. We're all brought here against our wills. The Head Doctor basically likes tormenting us whenever she pleases and keeping us trapped here. Sometimes people go home, sometimes they don't.
