A large number of you are former soldiers, are you not? How have you avoided ennui since coming here?

I've been killing time at the library but there are only so many books that are worth reading.

You could always take the time to pick up a hobby, develop new interests - a whole city right at the fingertips, I am sure a handsome man would find many willing to teach him a few things.

There are those who enjoy hunting where I come from, they like to bring home some great beast to prove how successful they are. If you have never tried archery, you really should, very enjoyable and a good skill to have in the future. Without knowing more about a person, it is hard to recommend a passtime I am afraid.

I don't particularly like hunting for sport - I prefer to kill things for a purpose - but archery, hm... perhaps I should try that. Something calming, physical, with a learning curve...good qualities in a hobby.

It is more the hobby of the nobles of Ferelden if I am right, most do hunting to provide food for their families or to sell. My own bow has not been returned to me but I have made one. A lesson for free: you must always be careful not to injure a handsome face from a bowstring to the face.

[Well Zevran's an assassin, he's not the best with casual hobbies. Okay, casual hobbies that aren't related to sex.]

I've managed to not hurt myself yet, so I'm not terribly worried. What might it cost to commission a bow?

I have never made a bow to sell before, it will be a very different service to the one I am used to providing. Let me see... [he really has no idea, he's made bows and arrows as needed when he's been out and about] I could think of a few things: going for drinks, the pleasure of your company - I could make the bow and you could watch, we could talk as I work, lessons thrown in free too.
