I've been killing time at the library but there are only so many books that are worth reading.

Maybe. But that seems like a temporary solution, even if I can find one.

I'd be willing. [Head tilt.] Have you found a job? [That seems to keep Dean plenty occupied.]

[The look on his face is clearly skeptical - like, "You? Really? You?" - but he doesn't say it. Part of him imagines that perhaps this man might be more powerful than he looks, even though his few worthy sparring partners back home were built like himself.]

...I appreciate the offer, but before I take you up on it: What are you capable of, and what can you endure?

I haven't really been looking. I can live without it, though I could afford more comforts with one. And yet, I've never been anything other than a soldier, and it wasn't so much my profession as my entire life from birth. It suits me.

[Castiel recognizes that look. It's one he's gotten often, and he's only the tiniest bit offended. He knows he doesn't look like much in his vessel. This human form is -- well, small (considering the size of his true form), and rather on the slender side, but of course looks are often deceiving.]

I'm both capable of and can endure much. [Such a helpful response.

He's pauses at that, struck by how similar they seem to be.] We have that in common, then.

[Sephiroth smiles a bit. It's nice to find somebody else who understands, who is the same. It's rare.]

In that case, I would gladly accept you as a sparring partner.

I think it would be best if we found a place outside the city. [Especially since he doesn't know Sephiroth's abilities, and while he can control his own he'd rather not have any unfortunate accidents.]

That would probably be wisest, yes. The teleporters can reach wide expanses of plains or snow, which might make good sparring grounds.

[A small nod. Castiel has been to each of the climate zones at one point or another, and since weather doesn't really affect him it doesn't matter which they choose.]

Tell me, Castiel. What is your weapon of choice?

[That's sort of a difficult question, since his weapon isn't of Earth but rather Heaven.] If I'm not fighting with my hands, I use a special sword.

I see. I most prefer my sword, though I sometimes use magic as well.

[Cas tilts his head curiously.] What sort of magic?

I typically use elemental magic, like Fire and Earth, though I've used all sorts.
