[Action // Locked to the Avengers House]

[Natasha once again, couldn't sleep, no matter how hard she tried. This time, she wasn't sure if it was just her, or insomnia, or waiting for the proverbial ball to drop, but this at at least her fourth or fifth night in a row. Natasha wore sleeplessness like she wore a familiar and favorite pair of shoes; very well. Half the time she didn't look ( Read more... )

[Thor eyes Natasha curiously and then looks over the amount of food she's made. Thor is used to large meals on Asgard but this is almost as large as the dinner they all had on Christmas Day, minus the enormous bird.]

Is there a reason for such a spread? [But he's at least getting some food for himself already.]

I can't make breakfast for everyone? [She responds back with a question herself, smiling. There's no reason, no occasion. No one's coming over and it's not a holiday. Natasha did it because she wanted to, for her friends. She was going to make breakfast for herself and Steve, why not be nice and make it for everyone?]

I had not thought you the type to. [Not because she's a fighter or anything like that, but because she hasn't seemed the type to worry so much about needing to do things like this.] It is a lot of food.

I'm normally not. [She admits, reaching to grab a grape.] I couldn't sleep.

[Thor gives her a smile at that.] It would seem it is a trait common to most of the house. [He takes a bite of food and sips some coffee he pours out.] Have you had trouble sleeping a lot?

I have trouble sleeping most nights, to be quite honest. I don't sleep for more than two or three hours at a time. [She's never really allowed herself the luxury of sleep.]

That is unhealthy even for an Asgardian, my friend. You should speak with Helen Magnus. She may be able to help you sleep better. [Midgardian doctors apparently have tricks he did not know of until recently.]

Perhaps I should. [She looks down, suddenly fidgeting with her hands. She doesn't like to admit that she has nightmares.]

Eat as much as you want. [She suddenly looks up, as if the uneasiness is gone.] I'll see about calling this person later.

[Thor gives her a light nod, and though he worries about his friends, he won't push. It's not his place to. He gives her a smile, though, and sips his coffee again.]

How is Steve, today?

Still sleeping. [She admits.] He's usually up before I am. I can't get him to sleep in even if his life depended on it.
