Some would say that is a good thing. [ Charles is refusing to let her get under his skin. It's not like she can damage him like others have. ] And I wouldn't quite call this walking, I'm afraid.
[ He merely blinks once or twice before giving a small laugh, shaking his head. It does rile him up, but he's not going to give her the satisfaction of it. ]
I would take up your advice, Doctor, if you would listen to it yourself. [ Charles raises an eyebrow. ] Telling someone to be a man while they hide in the shadows? It only makes you look like a coward.
I wouldn't want to wound anyone too much, getting beaten by a scientist, in the least. Getting hurt by the shadows is a little less demeaning. But you would know what a coward is, the mind is a fickle thing, isn't it. Privacy means nothing to you, does it.
And yet being hurt by someone in the shadows simply shows they don't have the power they think they do. [ He shifts in his wheelchair. ] We both seem to breach the contract of privacy, don't we?
You are thanking us after toying with us? [ Charles shakes his head, even if she can't see it. He's rather disgusted. It makes his stomach drop. ]
