Raven is keeping to the edges of the group, if only because that is where she's used to being in social groups. She also remembers how awkward Rogue was during their short conversations. While Raven doesn't particularly care, she's decided that it will be easier for Charles if she stays away from her fellow mutant.

The only people that she really knows are Teddy and Charles, anyway. The others can introduce themselves if they would like to get to know her. She misses her team too much to want to replace them.

Charles looks to Raven and motions for her to move forward into the group. There's no reason to be shy amongst all of them. While they may not have the X-Gene that would make them mutants or official 'X-Men', they are a team of young bodied adults who want to come together and work as a team. He'll take what he is offered in a place like this.

She shakes her head and approaches Charles after a moment. It isn't about the genes, though that does worry her to an extent.

"Are we staying inside all day?" Yes, let her pretend that is her concern.

"It all depends if people want to move outside our not." He glances at the others. If they're going to start training soon, then they'll need some sort of out door complex. It's times like this he wishes that the mansion was in Aliunde.

"Teddy and I want to go to the beach. For some training." She knows Charles may doubt that, but it is for training. Teddy says he can make himself gills, and Raven wants to see if she can too, even if every time she did it she would be reminded of Darwin.

His eyebrows come together. "We'll have to set up some sort of schedule and times that it'll be good to train in the other habitats." Not that he expects much will ever happen out there, but they need some sort of environmental training.

Schedules sound boring.

"If that would better." She should have planned on that. She had watched Charles work with everyone.

Raven, you think everything sounds boring when it's official and fancy sounding.

"We do have to include their schooling into all this." He points out. "If you can help one another? That will be even more beneficial. The hard part will be keeping it a secret."

It is though. Official stuff is boring.

"This planet doesn't like us to have secrets." She gestures to the group, to the entire planet and shrugs. Taking away powers, accidental video broadcasts...She is relatively sure that's true.

It is still required and important.

"No it doesn't." Charles agrees and looks at the others around them. "That doesn't mean we can't try."

She has him for all of that stuff.

"You don't think it's destined for failure?" She doesn't quite believe it is, but it's still a valid question.

Raven. This is not how you do team work.

"No. I don't believe it is." He says sharply. "How can you know it is doomed to fail without even trying?"

Yes it is.

"I don't know that it is, Charles." As far as she knows the original team works well. She can only possibly hope for the same for this one. Maybe.

No, Raven. No it isn't.

Charles sighs and shakes his head. Since their confrontation that night before their mission, they've been butting heads. Most of it is because he knows what choices she makes and he's constantly waiting to see when she's going to make them in Aliunde. Anticipation is ridiculously high.

"We are simply going to see what needs to be done to help them with their own powers." Charles shakes his head. "It is different. Only a few of them are mutants by our terms, but, all of them have extraordinary abilities that can help in our situation here. We can't be entirely too picky in this situation. We'll simply need to hope for the best."

Not that he and hope were on very good pages anymore.

And she still has no idea of what is expected of her.

"How will I be able to help?" Rogue seems to dislike her for something that happens in the future. She's not sure what is up with that. Even at home while Charles was working with the others she mostly was left to herself.

Raven doesn't consider herself much of a teacher.

There are reasons he hasn't told her things.

"You've trained and come to an understanding of who and what you are. You're proud of that, Raven." Charles reminds her. "You can help them with that if they need it. Or, you can use your own mutation to aid them in how they'd need theirs. For now? Most of this is communication until we learn what it is they exactly need."
