Who: Gabriel, Alice, Castiel, Darcy and Dean (not forgetting Vader, Lyla and Lazarus) What: Moving in! Where: The Winchester Homestead When: Forward dated to Sunday 6th May Rating: PG
Dean wasn't asleep or he wouldn't have heard the knocking seeing as how his room is in the basement. Just because of that he had a homemade alarm system that alerted him to when people approached any of the outer doors. No, he'd been awake and making quick work of a bowl of cereal in the kitchen when the knock came followed by Gabriel's voice. Rolling his eyes, Dean shuffled over to answer it - thankful that he'd started pulling on pants before wandering around the house ever since Darcy's arrival

Gabriel had sort of hoped it would have been Darcy opening the door. Darcy would would have been super-friendly and pleased to see him and thus provided the right first impression to his little entourage. But it was Dean and, well, frankly he seemed very much himself this morning. "Sorry Deano. Sort of have my hands full right now, but don't worry, annoying you is high up there on my list of priorities." Because it was. It just wasn't the highest right then. Not with the rain beginning to drip down the back of his neck and leak in through his sneakers

He was always himself unfortunately. Except if there was something that would make him change which there had been plenty of that here in Aliunde. The box in Gabe's hand made him look down at it, wondering just when the angel acquired enough stuff to need a box when there was a bag slung over his shoulder. Though to be honest Dean wouldn't be surprised if it was filled with candy. "So glad that nothing's changed from back home." There's a hint of sarcasm in his voice.
That first part does make him smile. "Or for Vader. I wouldn't be surprised at that."
Though the last part has him curiously leaning to peer behind the angel. His gaze is fixed high enough not to notice Alice but he does see that damn Loki monster. "Oh hell no. That thing is not coming in."
The house was huge. She was wondering why anyone would bother living in the apartments with how many big houses there were in this city. When Gabriel stopped, she got a chance to really look at it and she wondered who Gabriel's brother was. Maybe he was new too? Admittedly, Alice certainly didn't know everyone in Aliunde.
Then she heard it. A very familiar voice and she frowned.
"He is not a thing," Alice said behind Gabriel before she was able to peak around his legs. In her arms were Lyla and a bag of some of her things was over her shoulder. She stepped to the side so she was standing next to Gabriel rather than behind him. "His name is Lazarus and he's very gentle." Lyla gave a pitiful meow, not enjoying the cold and water in general.
What was this man's name again... Don? Oh wait, Gabriel had said it, hadn't he? Ah! Yes, Dean... he said he would kill all of Loki's creatures. She frowned.
Castiel, in his typical fashion, appeared behind and slightly off to one side of Dean shortly after hearing his and Gabriel's voices. He'd been reading. He had a rather impressive collection of books he was going through, the subjects of which varied from religion to romance to horror. Human literature was fascinating. He looked over Gabriel, wet and with a box in hand, before his attention shifted to Alice and the cat -- and the monster. Which was apparently carrying the majority of Alice's things. The angel straightened abruptly, going into defense mode.
Gabriel allowed his eyes to roll upwards, his hand moving to Alice's shoulder and easing her in through the door, following a step behind and easing down the box. "Lazarus is okay, step down you two." He said, glancing from his brother to his brother's pet human. "Haven't you ever heard of friendly dragons? I'll lend you my copy of Spyro

Hello tiny child. If Dean had known she was there he would have watched his language because he sort of knew this girl. "You weren't here when those things were targeting me because I pissed..off a trickster demi-god." Which isn't all that unusual for the Winchesters to do and not at all what he was going to say but he changed it due to the small child's presence. "That's like asking if I've heard of a friendly ghost. And just because it's gentle with you doesn't mean it's going to be gentle with everyone, kid and I have to think about the safety of everyone living in this house." Maybe she'll be able to understand that

"How do you do, Mr. Dean, Mr. Ca-" Alice stopped when she saw exactly who was standing behind Dean and eeped! It was the one who had depicated the monsters! She instantly went back to hiding behind Gabriel, even as they came inside. Was he going to cut of Lazarus' head? But he'd not done anything! She frowned and looked at Lazarus over her shoulder before pointing a finger at Cas.
"You're not allowed to hurt Lazarus! He's not done anything! He's innocent! If you behead him..." well, she didn't know what she'd do. However

Gabriel groaned. If he had his Snap... still, even with Alice clutching at his hand, he was proud of her. She was standing up for her friend, against two men which she had ever reason to by shy of, ever reason, or so it seemed, to be terrified of. "Hey, hey, Allie-pie..." He murmured, moving to pick her up, holding her closer. She wasn't exactly heavy, even if at eight she wasn't exactly the right height to be picked up. Still, it made her closer to Dean and Castiel's height, and that was all-important in holding your own

Awkward would have been an understatement for the mood that permeated the atmosphere at that moment. Castiel glanced between Dean and Gabriel before looking to Alice when she rather brazenly pointed a finger at him and proceeded to tell him what he wasn't allowed to do. He blinked. "I..." Another glance at Dean. He took a deep breath and exhaled it, almost a sigh, as he moved to step closer to Lazarus. He seemed to stare the creature down for several long moments. When he turned back to the small group, he gave a nod. "Gabriel is right. As long as no harm comes to Alice, it-- Lazarus-- will remain docile."
He didn't miss Gabriel's mouthed question, offering a mild shrug in response.
Darcy hadn't slept in the Winchester House last night, so she was not awakened with Gabriel's knocking and the 'conversation' had in the front hall. Instead, she'd slept at the Sanctuary with her boyfriend-- eeee he was her boyfriend-- and was currently, on her way up the street to the house. Her hair was mussed all to hell, and she has that blissful face on. She came home with it more and more often, and she didn't care what passersby thought of her. She was happy.
At the house, Darcy stopped short at the end of the drive when she saw the familiar blue form of one of Loki's creatures. But the ones that had survived had gone to some of the climate zones, hadn't they? "Dean?! Cas!" Darcy shouted, hurrying up towards the front door, concerned for her friends.
Gabriel had been about to make a comment to Dean, something like "I told you so," just more witty, but the sudden panicked voice from outside made him turn and glance back outside into the rain, peering around Lazarus. "Ah," He murmured, mostly to Alice, "This is our dear dishevelled Princess Cream-puff." And with that, he adjusted his hold on the little girl in his arms, hoisting her a little higher and trying to ignore the ache in his shoulders. He was an angel, surely he could hold an eight-year-old for more than five minutes

Darcy stopped short of the steps when she'd heard Gabriel's voice. "New members?" She parroted, slowly climbing the few steps to the door. She looked to the archangel with the young, blonde girl in his arms. Another glance is sent towards the creature before Darcy turned her head to focus on Gabe. "I didn't expect there to be a storm when I was...out last night." Kind of awkward to talk of boyfriends and bed-sharing around a little girl.
Gabe gave her that pointed look and Darcy had to fight the urge to blush. She was an adult, damn it. But the entire household plus two new additions have witnessed her returning home after a night of debauchery. So that was...awkward.
A five year old - or however old she was Dean couldn't tell - was telling them off for stopping the monsters from killing people because their creator had gone mad. "When Loki took control I told him that if his creatures started hurting people then I'd kill 'em. And that's what I did." And Dean wasn't going to take the word of a slightly-naive little girl who's monster could have slipped out while she was sleeping. Cas' words convince him even though he's not happy to have the damn thing in the house. "I suppose Lazarus can come in too if Darcy here approves." Now he looked to the other member of the house who'd just come back from a night out.
With one hand he reached out and took the box from Gabriel so the guy can keep Alice. "I'm not much of a cook so any waffles I make might not be all that edible."
She's not five, she's eight, learn to listen when people are talking Dean, it might cause more of them to like you. As a perfect example, Alice was aware she was being rude and making a horrible first impression. But she didn't want her pet to get hurt, and Lazarus was harmless. When Castiel said she was right she frowned. Did she not just say that? What was it with adults and their inability to listen to children. She would know Lazarus better than anyone and they still ignored her! Goodness, she hoped she wouldn't have to constantly deal with this. She didn't think her stay here would be that pleasant if it were. She could only imagine it now

Castiel turned to Darcy as she approached, noting her look of concern, as well as her general disheveled appearance though he simply attributed that to the rain. Which, speaking of the rain, he was still standing in the drizzle with Lazarus. He gave the creature another once-over before stepping back inside.
If he only knew what Alice was thinking -- well, it's probably better he didn't. When she started giggling he stared at her, frowning lightly, before looking to Dean in obvious confusion.

"Lazarus hasn't even done anything wrong."
