So much eye-rolling. "Tardis? You named a magical blue box?"

A pause. "Why?"

Damon was standing a bit behind River, head tilted, arms crossed and making a face at her. He seemed chipper than he should be, considering he was actually expecting to get a rib cage broken or something.

In one of his hands, he had a hammer. Just on principle, because he WAS going to try and bash a head in.

"Well. This is exciting." Look at him. Being one of the good guys. Well, it was more like all of them had a common enemy right now. So it made sense.

"She's not just any magical blue box. She's brilliant." Someone was very fond and protective of said blue box.

She'd missed all of this though. The thrill of the adventure, of the danger. The adrenaline coursing through her veins. "Let's hope that that skinny boy manages to lands in the right place, y'know, so we don't all become Angel food..."

"She's brilliant and sexy." River chimes in and suddenly Damon has two very protective women glaring at him. Don't insult the TARDIS. She's a good old girl. Ten times older than Damon and still very dependable. "TARDIS stands for time and relative dimensions in space. See? TARDIS."

Best find another subject. "The Doctor will be here. He always comes. Maybe not always on time, but he'll be here."

[pfft let's try posting in the right spot this time.]Turns out, driving the TARDIS on low power was harder than the Doctor expected. He should probably have let River do this; for some reason the TARDIS liked her driving more, which was completely unfair. As it stood, it was a miracle he hadn't knocked over any important buildings yet. He'd wanted to conserve as much energy as possible and had forgone materializing in the park in favor of flying across the city ( ... )
