It was almost 10:00 AM and Eileen knew she was running late getting preparations done for the party. Frantically, she was running around her small apartment sprucing up and arranging bowls of chips and dip on the kitchen table. She knew that people were going to arrive any moment and she cursed herself for sleeping in late that morning.
"Serves you right!" she snapped at herself as she fluffed one of the sofa cushions. Despite the small amount of stress, she was still rather excited about this whole thing. Parties were one thing she knew. They were one thing she was good at.
