Action | Assassin Recruiting

Jan 02, 2012 06:55

[Ezio has made his plan. He needs recruits. For now, they will be meeting in an abandoned warehouse, until a permanent place is set for them to meet. Of course, he needs to go out and recruit these assassins in the city. He's a seasoned professional at recruiting for the Brotherhood and he will try to get as many as possible today ( Read more... )

[It's cold so Kate needs coffee. And lucky for her, she has coffee. Thank god for that little cafe down the street from her apartment building. Bundled up, she sits on a bench she's cleared off of snow, and sips slowly at said beverage. Gloves, boots, thick woolen jacket, and a bright orange hat keeps Kate safe from the cold-- for the most part. At least the wind wasn't going crazy and forty miles per hour. Kate takes another sip of her drink, humming a Christmas tune softly. Christmas is over, but those damn songs stick in her head.

Kate sets the mug down on her thigh, looking out at her surroundings. Instinctively, she looks to places people might possibly hide and may attack from. It's just habit.]

[Ezio somehow suspects there is more to Kate than what she shows. So, quietly, he sits beside her on the bench, elbows on his knees, hands clasped together.]

You look suspicious of the world, amico.

[Kate jerks slightly when she feels someone sitting down on the bench beside her. She glances over to see that Ezio guy sitting there.] I'm always suspicious of the world, Auditore. Always. It just happens that most days, I'm right about being suspicious.

[Ezio chuckles lightly.] You have no idea how coretto that is.

[He smiles to her after a moment, sure she'd be a damn good assassin given a bit of training. Being suspicious and a little jaded helps.] You should put your suspicion to use. Join a cause that could use you.

[ Helen has been a little on edge since her conversation with the Doctor. She managed to get her hand a gun, not that she actually thinks it'll do much to protect her if it came down to it. It's still better than nothing. Despite calming down from showing up in Aliunde and settling rather well, she still expects Adam Worth to show up. Her guard is always up, and with the idea of moving statues? Her guard is a bit more on paranoid levels.

Which is rather unfortunate for one Ezio Auditore de Firenze. As soon as Helen feels as if someone has walked up behind her - despite her heels and dress - she whirls around with the intent of literally elbowing the person behind her. Her other hand goes straight to pull the aforementioned gun out of it's holster. ]

[Ezio had been planning to speak to Helen and had dropped from a roof and headed for her. Except then a fist comes flying at him and he barely dodges it, grabbing her wrist and reaching for the other hand, before she pulls what he assumes is going to be a knife.]

Dottore! Calm yourself!

[ Her ankles waver a bit at the sudden force of her wrist being taken, and the gun drops from her other hand. Helen is very talented at holding her ground despite the four inch heels, thank you very much. She blinks a few times, given there's only one person in the entire city who calls her that. Helen glances away before nodding and and opening her hands up to show she's not a threat. ]

Signore Auditore... my apologies.

It is no trouble. [Ezio releases her and bends to pick up the gun, turning it over in his hand, sure it's a weapon but not rightly sure what kind until he inspects it for a moment. It appears to look like a gun.]

This is a curious pistol, amico.

[Eridan was currently stalking around the city, his pillaged AK-47 held at the ready. He was fairly certain that those angel statues were up to no good. Angels were always up to no good.]

[He stared at one that was covering its eyes before gunning it with a minute of sustained fire - to no avail. He bared his teeth. It looked like he needed to take an axe to that thing. Perhaps he seemed a little crazy, firing at things that weren't moving at all. But Eridan has issues with angels, okay.]

[Ezio kept himself at a safe distance, and when the gunfire stopped he decided it was best to shout over, though he didn't let his gaze come away from that statue. He'd heard the warning, after all.]

Your gun will do no good, amico, but your enthusiasm is with merit.

[Eridan, knowing that someone else was there, took his eyes off the statue to look at Ezio - he'd only heard that one shouldn't blink when facing the angels, but he didn't know why. He would find out now.]

A course it won't. It's fuckin' pathetic, compared to what I had back home. I'd fuckin' throw it in the trash, but I'd be left with usin' table legs, an' that's just stupid.

[He didn't lower his rifle and kept it pinned in the crook of his arm, walking over to Ezio. It wasn't a threat - just the fact that Eridan believed in being armed at all times.]

Dirtwalkin' human, what do you know about these fuckin' angels, aside from the fact that they're strategizin' no good?

[Ezio is not quite sure if he's up to the challenge of dealing with this one but he has no options. He needs assassins and this one at least looks willing to kill.]

I know that we can't fight them if we do not know anything about them. If they are not weak against bullets, we need to leave them be until we have more information.

[He smirks slightly.] You look like you could benefit from allies. How would you like to fight for a cause?

[Nick slinks down the alley to his stash, walking far quieter than anyone would have normally thought he'd be able to. He glances around, looking for anyone around, before opening up the box that he'd hidden behind a pile of trash. He glances around one more time, then starts pulling items from his hoodie and backpack, transferring them quickly into the box. Most of the items were food, can and boxes stacked up neatly, but there was other things, tarp, rope, things he clearly had gotten using the five finger discount.

He scanned once more, then shut the box, hid it once again, then slowly sauntered out the other end of the alley, entire persona changing again to the loudmouthed brat, hiding the savvy survivor as completely as he had hidden his stolen goods.]

[Ezio watches him from the rooftops, able to hide in plain sight, just as his Creed has taught him to do. When Nick makes his way from the alley, Ezio follows on the rooftops, finally dropping down nearby and walking up to reach his side, not even looking at him as he speaks.]

You are a talented survivor, and good at remaining unseen, at least to those not trained to see what is hidden.

[Nick had heard something come up behind him, but it was only the long weeks spent here that kept him from stabbing first and asking questions later.

Even so, the strange words do nothing to keep him form lashing out.]

What the hell're you on about?

The stash you have. It is well hidden.

[He shakes his head slightly.] I mean that your talents in stealth should be put to good use.

[Susan is out enjoying the cold winter weather. While snow was snow, regardless of the planet, the snow here on Aliunde retained it's crisp white color while the snow in Ankh-Morpork would have become a brown mush by now.

Stopping to look in a shop window, Susan drew her black woolen cloak tighter around her. It was difficult to see, but hidden within the folds was a sword. To say it was an ancient sword would be putting it mildly. The sword belonged to Death and was as old as time itself. It was also incredibly sharp and was able to cut through anything.

Normally Susan wouldn't carry the sword with her, but with the sudden appearance of the strange stone angels, she wasn't taking chances. Her preternatural senses told her something was very wrong about those angels.]

[Ezio was unable to use his Eagle Sense here, much to his dismay, but he was able to use his eyes none the less. And when he spots a woman with a sword, looking like she could easily tear apart anyone she needs to, he approaches with caution, gaze on the shop window as he speaks to her.]

That is a molto bella sword you have, signorina.

[Susan continues to face the large window but instead of looking through the glass she instead focuses at the reflection of the man beside her. He is human but he has an aura of danger about him. For a brief moment she thought of Malik and how he had a similar aura.]

Thank you. It belongs to my Grandfather.

You should put such a blade to use.

[He turns slightly, bows his head in greeting, and offers a smile.] I am Ezio Auditore. It is a pleasure.
