Will was walking around the supermarket with his own trolley. He'd finally found a job, and now that he had that sorted he could spend more of his starter money on groceries and stuff for his apartment. He'd found a picnic pack of plates, cutlery and so on, so he put that in his trolley so he'd have more things to eat and drink out of in case of visitors. He'd also gotten a couple of frying pans (one had a lid), laundry detergent, dishwashing liquid and other useful things, and now he was working out what food he needed with the money he had left after budgeting the other stuff.

He'd already gotten some fruit and veggies, and now he was looking for meat. He turned a corner, and saw a very familiar looking person cleaning out the supermarket's stock of hamburger patties.

"Hey, Bro! Do you really need so many of those?"

Due to the rather unfortunate discovery of having pretty much nothing in his apartment, although he might have been being dramatic, Matthew Williams decided that yes, he would be joining what might be the en mass of people at the super market. Who knew? It might be good to get into the flow of things once more.

Dragging out the shopping cart, he began to make a mental list in his mind, what he needed to get, what he could probably afford, and how he would be able to carry his things back to the apartment complex building. Almost immediately on entry into the supermarket, he made his way to the pancake mix and added a few into the cart.

It was then he spotted...no way, he spotted his brother? Alfred F. Jones, America? What...no way.

Not sure what to say, he stared at the other nation...boy there for a blank moment before saying the first thing he could think of.

"Al, you really don't need that many patties."

Despite being stuck in Aliunde for several months already, the grocery store was still a fantastical and mystical place to Vanille. There was so much food conveniently stored in one place, and she had never even heard of most of the stuff there. It took all her willpower to not spend all of what little money she had on various treats every time she came into the store.

As it was, her basket today was full of a mishmash of items to try out (she was especially excited to see what "gummy worms" tasted like, because they couldn't possibly taste like worms, but who knew, with this place), and she wandered through the aisles one last time to see if there was anything fun looking she had missed. Coming upon a cart filled almost entirely with frozen meat patties, she stopped and stared at it. If someone was buying so many of them, they had to be good.

"Are there any more of those left?" she asked a blond man standing by the cart.

It was her turn to cook tonight, so Nana decided to buy a few things at the market to whip up some miso soup. She really should be giving Hachi a break with the cooking, anyway... since she was pregnant and all.

As she was walking down the aisles of the market, she noticed the man with a cart full of... what were those? Meat patties. For burgers, most likely... but why in God's name did he have a cart full of them? Nana could help but stop and stare as he made his way past her.

As he wheeled on by, she had to make a comment. "Having a party or something?"
