I love being at school with my friends, but I've really missed home a lot, too. It's a little weird, going from Hogwarts, where everyone is basically like YEAH THE WAR'S OVER to Belfast, where everyone is still living on edge.
I’m not sure which holiday I love more, Easter or Christmas. But Midnight Mass is a beautiful thing, and I look forward to it every year. I think I’ve got a lot to be thankful for this holiday season, you know? I’ll keep praying that the year ahead will still be relatively peaceful.
And then, in a week, it’ll be New Year’s Eve and I am going to the BALL and BRIDGET IS LIKE MY FAVOURITE PERSON RIGHT NOW.
I was worried I wasn’t going to be able to get a new dress for it and it’s not like my parents can justify a really fancy dress for one night, but she totally asked her sister (who apparently has a closet full of pretty things) if she could borrow one of those dresses to lend to me and a long story short, I now have something brilliant to wear! It’s probably the fanciest thing I’ll ever wear.
I can’t wait to get back at Quidditch training, either. Obviously.
So… yeah. I need to go help Mum with getting ready for dinner. Happy Christmas, everybody!
