Hui Bing's thoughts: And I Love You So

It is our first time performing at the Villa Seafood Galleria at Labrador Park and I fell in love with this venue immediately.

Though its location may be quite remote, the glass walls offer a great view of the sea, the Labrador Jetty and the nature reserve. Guests can also enjoy the scenery from the alfresco lounge above the restaurant. There is also a beautiful swimming pool and lawn nearby where Gary and Siew Ling held their solemnisation before the dinner.

The only downside I can see about this place is the sound system, as it is usually not used for singing. Fortunately, Gary and Siew Ling invested a small amount to rent a sound system, so this was out of the way.

Unknown to Siew Ling, Gary had made the effort to rehearse his surprise song item with the band just the night before. I think he did a great job conveying the emotions of the song And I Love You So. While Gary was singing the song, I gently led Siew Ling up the stage to his side. As she was also mouthing the words to the song, we seized the opportunity to hand her another microphone and they completed the song together on-stage.

Dear Gary and Siew Ling, it was a pleasure performing for you guys and your guests. All the best to both of you and and do keep in touch!

Song To Recommend:

If the musician is a guitarist, you might want to consider Crazy Little Thing Called Love by Michael Bublé. We loved its upbeat tempo and how it goes very well with the strumming of the guitar. It got some guests, including a family member of the couple, to get up from their seats and gyrate to the song.

Compliments from Gary:

Thanks so much for doing a fantastic job! You sang really well. Who needs Singapore Idol when we have you. =)

Wedding Tips:

- If you plan to sing for your spouse, do find time to practise on your own, or with the musicians. It will bolster your confidence!

- If your husband is serenading you, do join in if you know the song. Then it becomes a duet!
