Bevlyn's Thoughts: A Lovers' Concerto
Joseph and Wen Ni kicked the banquet off with a video showing how Joseph proposed (on his knees, with fireworks!). I thought that a great idea, it's almost like an appetizer for the guests, for without that proposal all of them wouldn't be gathered at Four Seasons Hotel celebrating the wedding!
Ein played the popular classical piece 'Canon in D' for the couple's march-in, and from then on, we performed a great selected of jazz classics and pop songs specially chosen by the wedding couple. This has got to be my favourite song for the evening, what a great song to dedicate to the couple's friends!

Joseph is a pilot, and hence when it was his turn to give a speech, he said he would do what he does best when he's infront of 300 people, ”Hi everyone, here's your pilot speaking. We're in Four Seasons. It's about 25 degree celsius, today's weather is partly cloudy.” - That certainly cracked all the guests up!
The speeches by Joseph's friends were amusing too. Will and Adrian shared memories of Joseph, who basically drove a van like how he drives a motorcycle, and it disturbs them that he's not driving a plane... Another friend Yi Ming, recounted how he had to piss on Joseph when the latter got bitten by a jellyfish - “From then on, i know it's God's will... Buddys forever...” The matchmaker Puay Lim disclosed that it was very easy to convince Joseph that Wen Ni is a good catch - just by showing him her photo. However, it was an uphill task to convince Wen Ni that Joseph is a good catch; he had only met Joseph twice, and he had to make things up to make Joseph sound....good. In any case, the wedding proved his success!
But none of the above can beat the surprise of the evening - Wen Ni had rehearsed with Ein Ein separately for her rendition of 'A Lovers' Concerto', to be specially dedicated to Joseph at their wedding banquet. She was initially full of nerves, but soon after she started singing, honestly, everyone was moved by her touching rendition. Joseph came over to her at the end of the song with tears in his eyes. I can assure you, no one was left unmoved by that scene :')
Our heartiest Congratations to Joseph and Wen Ni, for having found a soulmate in each other. Have a blessed marriage!
