Audrey's thoughts: 甜蜜蜜 (Honey Sweet)!
When I took on this gig, I was only being informed that the "couple is having a pre-wedding celebration at the Club, and they booked three rooms for their guests". No additional details about the couple's names, just the person who was liasing with A Little Dream.
This is going to be interesting I thought, what is a pre-wedding celebration and how will it be like singing in separate rooms?
The day arrived. Upon reaching Tanah Merah Country Club, I finally knew that I will be singing for Daniel and Brigitte. Before the first set began, I enquired and found out that this evening's dinner is mainly for the overseas guests and colleagues of the bride's father.
The actual wedding banquet will be on 17th December 2010. Besides engaging A Little Dream, other performances like belly dancing were included in tonight's entertainment programme as well. Wow...exciting activities lined up for the night!
As I was singing 爱很简单 (Love Is Very Simple) in the first set, the couple walked towards the band. I almost couldn't believe my eyes when I saw the bride. The Brigitte whom I was performing for the evening is none other than my primary school classmate whom I have known for 20 years! Brigitte and I were so excited that we immediately hugged while I tried my best to finish up the song with tears welling up in my eyes. Cheers and applause from the guests upon seeing our reunion livened up the atmosphere.
I immediately seized the opportunity and asked the couple to sing us a song. Initially Daniel and Brigitte shyly declined but as the cheers got wilder, Daniel spontaneously took up my suggestion of singing "Only You". It was the best moment of the night as I held Brigitte's hand while both of us listened to Daniel dedicating the song to his wife.
The band proceeded to the other room for our second set where the guests were seemingly already warmed up by previous programmes. They made my night by singing along to familiar tunes like 甜蜜蜜 (Honey Sweet) and 爱你在心口难开 (Love You More Than I Can Say).
Stephen saw two of his friends amongst the guests too. It was indeed a night of surprises and reunions.
Even as I reached home, simply recalling the evening's happy event made me so excited that I almost couldn't sleep. I think fate played a magical part in assigning me to this gig. Congratulations Daniel and
Brigitte! It was wonderful and especially meaningful to perform for your pre-wedding celebration. I look forward to attend your wedding banquet. Stay handsome and pretty and loving forever!

First of all, Daniel and I would like to say a BIG THANK YOU to you, Stephen and Clarence for performing at our Pre-wedding celebration!
Our guests truly enjoyed the songs performed by you guys in the various rooms! We would love to hear more of your songs if not for the fact that we had to go around to mingle with the guests.
Personally I was really surprised but extremely HAPPY to see you there! We have been friends since Primary 1 and I have not seen you for ages. I have to agree with you that it is fate which played a magical part in letting us meet in such a way! =)
Of course, your cheeky & fun loving spirit is still evidently present when you urged Daniel to sing a song spontaneously:P haha!
