Hsin Yeow's thoughts: Better Today
Aileen was a stunning bride. Her porcelain features reminded me of Zhang Ziyi.
And because she's Korean, Bevlyn and I agreed to learn a few Korean numbers. Bevlyn sang The Wonder Girls' ubiquitous hit "Nobody", while I tackled a beautiful ballad called "May I Love You". Whew, it was tough to sing in Korean, but we made it through!
That night, we also sang in French, Hokkien, Cantonese, Mandarin and, of course, English. The 'rojak' mix appealed to the diverse crowd, which comprised guests from Australia, Malaysia, China and Indonesia.
Congratulations, Martin and Aileen! Thank you for challenging us by introducing new songs to us. Special thanks to Ivy, who made us feel so relaxed and comfortable. Wish you both a happy and fulfilling marriage!
