Hsin Yeow's thoughts: 月亮代表我的心 (The Moon Represents My Heart)
Some weddings make you feel all warm and fuzzy inside. And this was one of them.
First of all, Colleen and Nicholas were really friendly and pleasant. Nicholas, especially, took time to chat with him. I learnt that the both of them had flown in from Australia to prepare for the wedding, and brought some of their friends along with them. Nic was also sporting enough go with our suggestion to rehearse a song to serenade Colleen. More on that later...
The couple's friends were a hoot. Even though there were five speeches that night, their friends knew how to keep their speeches short, sweet and funny. Those who could not make it for the dinner recorded their greetings on video, which was lovingly compiled and edited by a close friend of the couple.
One of the friends said, "Wish you all the happiness in the world but leave a little for us." Another offered this cryptic marriage advice, "Wear nice pants - it helps!"
During his speech, Nicholas let slip the fact that he had practised a song with us. Naturally, the guests refused to let him return to his seat until he sang. The song was "Wonderful Tonight", and the guests applauded enthusiastically when he finished.

Bevlyn, Joel and I had a fantastic time performing at the wedding. I was touched with a table of guests started singing along to the Teresa Teng classic 月亮代表我的心 (The Moon Represents My Heart), entirely without prompting. It was magical.
The crowd was similarly enthusiastic when we dedicated If We Hold On Together to the couple's friends and I Just Called To Say I Love You to the couple's parents. Some guests even danced along in front of us as we sang!
Congratulations Nicholas and Colleen. Wishing you a wonderful marriage with lots of joy and laughter!
