Imelda's thoughts: Love Of My Life
Han Piow has two loves in his life. Chicken rice was apparently the first, but that was till Weilin came along and replaced it as Han Piow’s reigning first love. Han Piow related how he realized that he was in love with Weilin and that she was THE ONE for him, and ironically, it was with the help of his other love - Chicken rice that Weilin steered her way through his tummy and into his heart.
After singing the 2nd march-in song “Wonderful Tonight”, Han Piow surprised everyone with another lovely tune. “Love of My Life” is Han Piow’s personal composition that was inspired by and written as a surprise for Weilin. (This groom can sing! Maybe A Little Dream can consider engaging him as one of our singers!)

"Hi Hsin Yeow,
Firsty, this is a surprise for my wife-to-be Weilin. This email and its contents should not be revealed to her by any chance.
After the 2nd walk-in to Wonderful Tonight, instead of You Belong To Me, I'm gonna sing my own composition Love Of My Life for her on stage.
The song is guitar based, but could really do with some drums, keyboard, sax, bass and harmony.
I know there's not much time left to practice but I really hope you can help me work out an arrangement by Saturday. Please let me know.

I see Han Piow as a meticulous guy, not typically last minute like many others I know. Apart from having his entire speech written in his iphone, he was well prepared with details that surprised me. Han Piow approached me as the band was setting up, settled all the admin matters before we went on to discuss their march-in songs. So well thought out was he that he even volunteered to carry on dancing with his wife so we didn’t have to end the song “At Last” before its final verse. I didn’t even have to mention or suggest anything!
Throughout the night, Melvin repeatedly told me how pretty and sweet Weilin was, and that she’s got such lovely sharp features (I totally agreed with him). James was just really happy with the delicious chicken rice we had for dinner. Ivan looked absolutely cool in his sunglasses that he had to put on because the videographer had a bright light shining in our faces so he could take a clearer video of us. I just hope he didn’t get too clear a view of my increasing wrinkles!
This was yet another great wedding celebration! I’m so glad I get to use one of the loves of my life - singing, to spread joy to others!
