Bevlyn's thoughts: When I Fall In Love

When Yogi is in love, he will do anything for his bride. The challenges he had to overcome were all thanks to the creativity of the 'sisters'. First, instead of giving angbaos to them, Yogi and the brothers had to lay out the dollar notes in the form of 'I LOVE LYELING' on the floor.

Obviously the only red colour among the dollar notes are the angbao envelopes. Next, they had to each drink a mix of lemon and bittergourd specially concocted by the sisters. Other 'delicacies' included chocolates with XO fillings, and sushi made up of 80% wasabi.

The following challenge was the first I had ever seen: The men had to wear paper panties, and get this - Yogi had to put on lipstick and make marks on the back of his brothers' paper panties. Yes, he kissed them one by one!

If you think he had suffered enough, you are wrong because he was only halfway through. He had to next do a limbo rock dance move to enter the house, and then chew down a long string of gummy sweets that stretched from outside Lyeling's room. When he finally reached Lyeling, whose mouth held the other end of the string of sweets, the couple had to be told "Enough (of the kissing)!!!"

Oh Yogi Yogi, what had you done to the sisters to deserve such challenges!?!

But as I said, when Yogi falls in love, he is willing to do anything. After some persuasion on my side, Yogi and Lyeling took up the challenge of singing their 2nd march-in song When I Fall In Love. Even though they were full of nerves during rehearsal, they managed to sing the whole song, much to the applause and cheering of their guests. I could tell many of the guests were pleasantly surprised and touched by the couple's rendition!

Yogi's good friend, who runs a photography service Emotionpix was specially flown to Australia so he could take their bridal photographs. For good and reasonably-priced photos, you might want to check them out!

Compliments from Yogi and Lyeling:

Hi Bevlyn,

Hey, nice blog! & indeed, a great summary of what took place on our big day. Thanks! We have a bunch of fun-loving sisters with tons of crazy ideas. Well, all is good; it is part of the "sabo" that makes a wedding memorable.

It is splendid to have you and Joel as part of our celebration of Love. You guys performed so well that my guests initially thought that we have music played from the CDs. There are lots of fantastic comments ranging from:

"The Jazzy music is a perfect rendition and combination with Conrad’s ambience" to
"That Singer has a good stamina, continues one song after another" to
"That Band creates a special mood to the dinner" to
"The Band is also your friends? Worthy source!"

The list goes on… and we are grateful and proud to have you guys (Yes! A little dream) performing for us.

Before the actual day, we are hesitant if we wanted to sing for our 2nd march-in. We are eager to perform and thanks for your encouragement, we practised the song and memorized the lyrics, only 2 days beforehand! Phew! All went well and we are happy that the crowd have enjoyed this special moment. We never regretted singing for our own wedding, and we are grateful for your endless support!

Yes! Bevlyn is right. The wedding cannot be this perfect without the superb photography and videography service from my buddies. They run this professional business for years and we bought them to Australia for the outdoor shoots. Thanks for providing the link!

Bevlyn and Joel, once again, we thank you so much for making our big day happen!

Cheers on,
Yogi & Lyeling
