I have to thank Wedding Concierge for giving me the opportunity to sing for Joey and Alvin. It is always a joy to sing at Oriental's Atrium Ballroom because the sound team is so pleasant to work with!
Joey and Alvin had requested for us to perform from the 2nd march-in onwards, so when I started singing for their 2nd march-in A Moment Like This, I caught a few heads turning around to find the source. It always amuses me when this happens!
Alvin and Joey were classmates in their secondary school days, but they barely knew of each other's existence! Fate had it that they would get re-acquainted at the school's 40th anniversary dinner, and subsequently knew more about each other through intensive sessions of ICQ chat. For shy guys, you may want to consider this approach of proposal: Alvin took Joey to Equinox for a great dinner but didn't pop the question because Joey smelled something fishy. So he popped the question via SMS at the stroke of midnight when Joey was in her dreamland. Alvin sure knew how to make good use of technology!
Alvin is an extremely shy guy who does not fancy being in the limelight. But I persuaded him to give a speech, which I figured would make the wedding be more personal. In the end, he gave a short but sweet address to the guests. On the other hand, Joey complements Alvin very well because she appeared to be more comfortable being in the limelight - she changed her outfit three times! It was her big day and it was only right that she enjoyed herself to the fullest!

Actually, I was a little selfish about introducing your services to those getting married. However, I guess, I must be fair to those who are looking for a memorable wedding as well....
