Jixiang's Thoughts: Vitamins of Love
This was my first time performing at the Villa Halia. I really like the relaxed, romantic setting where the Wine Bar, the Courtyard and the Gallery Room are surrounded by an oasis of serenity and foliage.
The highlights of the evening’s programme (other than the Solemnisation Ceremony itself) must be when Daryl sang to his lovely bride and when Daryl and Mei Yan slow danced to the band’s The Way You Look Tonight. I teasingly wanted to play an extended version of the song after seeing both of them got lost in their own little dream world, slow dancing with the moon.
Daryl gamingly accepted the request to sing a song for Mei Yan. He did a rendition of Mayday’s 恋爱ING (Being In Love). We were told that Daryl had the lyrics specially rewritten for the morning’s ceremony. It’s a pity we didn’t have the chance to listen to that original version. Nevertheless, Daryl belted out the song in gusto and sincerity, with the backing of all the guests, echoing L.O.V.E.
It was a wonderful occasion not only for Daryl, Mei Yan and all their guests. I enjoyed myself tremendously. Thank you for inviting us to be part of this joyous occasion. May your love be like what Daryl had sung: both of you are the vitamins that help to strengthen each other (你就是维他命love).
