Judy: What is romance? In my books, spending time together doing nothing... or just eating, watching TV and growing fat together! That can be romantic too! :)
Judy and Andrew are "shy", "reserved", and should be left alone. "Please don't make fun of us onstage!" Judy instructed. "Okay", I thought, "I'll just do it offstage!"
Just kidding. What's the point of embarrassing the bridal couple on one of the most important days of their lives? So, imagine my surprise when Andrew agreed to my suggestion of serenading Judy with a song. And he took my advice by gulping down a glass of red wine to bolster his courage, too!
The song I chose for Andrew was 你是我最深爱的人 (You're The One I Love The Most). I told Judy that Andrew wanted to make up to her for not proposing properly, and Judy merely nodded, dumbstruck and overcome with joy.
Andrew's impromptu performance brought tears to Judy's eyes, and drew loud cheers from the guests. Andrew kept glancing at Judy while singing his song, and when he finished, Judy rewarded him with a bear hug.
Judy and Andrew's wedding was also marked by special performances and song dedications. Apart from Andrew's surprise performance, Karen, a close of friend of the couple's, also entertained the guests by singing 家后 (Queen Of The House). The couple also dedicated That's What Friends Are For to their close friends, and I Finally Found Someone to Wenhui and Adrian, who were celebrating their 6th wedding anniversary!
To Judy and Andrew: may your love be like good wine, and grow stronger as it grows older!
P.S. It was a pleasant surprise for me to meet Peggy and Adrian, my primary and secondary school classmate respectively. To Peggy and Adrian: thanks for your support, and keep in touch!
