Hsin Yeow's thoughts: 晚風 (Evening Breeze)

"Hi Hsin Yeow,

My brother Paul would like you guys to give him a call too. I think he wants to sing a song or something but he refuse to reveal much to me, so i think it would be great if you can give him a ring, at XXX.

Thanks,
Eyvon"

Well, I did give Paul a ring. He claimed he was "forced" into singing a song for Eyvon. Oh, but he was such a natural onstage that he had everyone in stitches with this cute song.

Loosely translated as "Owe You From My Past Life", this is meant to be sung with tongue firmly in cheek. I can't find the video of it, but here are the lyrics for your reference. Apologies to those who can't make out the Chinese characters.

Baby

(Sometimes, late at night, I'd wake up in a fright
And wonder why I'd succumbed to you...)

(Your demure beauty makes me happy
But your tendency to yak continuously makes me wanna die, sigh...)

(Because I love you so much
I don't dare to antagonise you
There are times when I'd like to rebuke you
But I haven't seen your mum yet)

(I must owe you from my past life,
That's why I can't do anything but love you in this one
You better be careful in your next life!)

Baby

(One day, you'll definitely be pregnant
Baby it's just a question of when, haha)

(If our baby's eyes look like yours
That's our fortune
If our baby's teeth look like mine
That's probably because I owe you from my past life!)
We had a great time at Eyvon and Jeffrey's wedding! I had been exchanging e-mails with Eyvon prior to the wedding, and I found the exuberance in her writing to be infectious and engaging. What surprised me was that she was much more quiet in person. She was very relaxed and seemed to have none of the newlywed jitters.

The crowd was very responsive to our performance. One guest even came up to us after our performance to specially thank us. The pleasure's ours, really. Knowing that we enhanced the mood of the wedding with our music is reward enough.

Congratulations, Eyvon and Jeffrey!

Hi Hsin Yeow,

Thank you so much for being there entertaining everyone. Hsin Yeow fulfilled my dream of many many months (by singing 爱爱爱 (Love Love Love) for our 1st March in.)

When Hsin Yeow sang Wonderful Tonight and 愛的就是你 (You're The One I Love), my husband held my hand, beautiful memories of us when we first got together came back, my heart melted and I almost cried.

Bev's voice...only one word to describe...WOW.

You guys gave us something money cannot buy, memories that will last a lifetime. Everyone at our wedding loved you guys!!
