Okay, so it turns out I'm seriously bad at Tetris.

Well, I thought it was funny.
Anyway, this weekend was awesome!  On Friday, we got a big projector and watched some movies down in the main lobby, which included Mr. and Mrs. Smith (this movie is really funny and also has lots of good action scenes, so it's a good movie overall), Waiting (this movie has actually made me want to never, ever eat out again; on the up side, the New Pornographers was part of the soundtrack and it was pretty funny) and Sinbad (a classic, of course).  I went to bed after that.  Saturday I woke up around 10 or so and wasted some time online, finished Italo Calvino's If on a winter's night a traveler which was a really neat book that had a lot to do with the philosophy of reading and writing.  Is reading a solitary activity, or does it connect us to other people?  It's also got probably the most unique format of any book I've ever read, so I'd definitely recommend it to anyone who would listen (I've even got it available for loan if someone is interested!)  Now I'm starting on the complete short stories of Ernest Hemingway, so we'll see how that goes.  We also played some Halo on the projecter downstairs, and the Math study group was really, really good, I passed 2 more tests which means I just have 2 left to go, and ate a ton of popsicles.  Let me tell you, taking a test that takes 2 hours is not a lot of fun, though.  Now it's Sunday, I think I'm gonna eat dinner with my parents and then do some homework or play some video games.

I'm really digging Architecture in Helsinki right now, they're a great band.  If you haven't heard them and you're interested, I can upload one of their albums, so just leave a comment or IM me or something.  Lately it's been a good time for music and reading overall.  I actually listened to an entire CD all the way through without interrupting (Transatlanticism by Death Cab for Cutie) and I've been getting through a lot of pages, book-wise.  On those dreary, drizzly days, it's so easy to just relax, curl up and listen to music or read a book all afternoon.  There's nothing quite as nice as being sucked into one of those worlds that only literature or music can create.

Work is interesting right now, I'm getting some extra hours because one of the students is freaking out about her AP Statistics test.  She's a pretty bright kid, but she's struggling with it.  But on the bright side, I think I convinced her to take Calculus, which is really fun!  So to those of you out there taking AP tests, I wish you good luck!  They're tough, but you can do it.

Hehe, my life is pretty boring overall, but that's okay, between the enjoyment I get out of reading, games and school, it's a good life.  Not a lot new or exciting happening but I don't mind so much.
