The Ends Opening Into New Ends Always Master Post
Author's Notes: Not entirely sure how it happened. I sat down to write a case file and suddenly it was set in 1925 in a speakeasy. You must pretend you’re watching a 1930s era black and white film while you read it otherwise it might seem stupidly melodramatic at times. (I’m sorry for that too; I’ve ( Read more... )

Haha. Well I hope you enjoy it. I meant to reply to your last comment but then I forgot because I deleted and reposted in a slightly more readable format! My bad. Anyway, I'm glad someone is excited for it!

I actually went to your journal many times before I decided to leave that comment (didn't want to actually look like an stalker, which I realized I do, now) I even thought that you deleted it 'cause you didn't want people reading it/commenting just yet and I was like, "Ups, sorry?"

So yeah, I'm glad it was just you re-posting it XDD

Excieted about a fic of yours? Noooo, not me, you must be mistaken ;)

This is one of my favorite eras!! I can't believe someone who can actually write did a fanfic in this era. I'm SO excited. I've just sped through the Prologue and the first part, and just so delighted to get to dive into the next!

Ah, I'm so glad you're enjoying it! I was worried it was too silly for words. :)

Just yes. So much yes right now. It's like I didn't even know how much I wanted this fic until I read the summary for it. I have this fascination with Castle being into old movies and wondered about a Spirit-esque type dream fic but this is so much better.

*Pulls quilt up* Okay, I'm ready.

Yay, I'm so glad other people are into this idea. I really thought it'd just be me with my love of period dramas/old movies stupidly tapping away at the keyboard in my own little corner of the internets.

(PS I love the idea of dream fic. Um. And also the idea of that film. I'd not heard of it before... it sounds excellent. Renting immediately!)

So far this is really enjoyable. I can see you take great care in choosing language appropriate for the time--the formality of people's conversation. It's easy to throw in some slang and call it a day, but I'm really find I'm transported to another era. Looking forward to the rest!

I still come back every couple weeks to re-read and savor this.
I love that, at the end, Kate had someone to dive in with after all...

Oh I am glad you like that much!

Also, I did get your message on ff.net also (at least, I assume you are one and same?) - I am in the process of uploading there, I obviously will have to change the last chapter to some extent and life has been crazy busy.

Yes I am! :) But now that LJ is no longer under attack and I can access it at will again, I'm less attached to also being able to find this story over there. :)

Why do you have to change the last chapter?
