I’m having a god-awful day, so I decided to do something that I enjoy and finish off the makeover post for Belladonna Cove. I’m finding that the more and more I do these, the more excited I get about my game and my story, especially seeing as how there are a lot of supernatural things going on in the Cove! I think the reason I put Belladonna Cove off for so long is that it’s the hood with the most amount of Sims in my game, and it seemed a little overwhelming at first. Anyway, onwards with the makeovers! I will be posting the final makeovers (for Downtown) later today most likely.
Once a part of Bridgeport, Belladonna Cove has been recently renamed in honour of missing socialite Bella Goth (nee Bachelor) whose disappearance shocked the world of the rich and elite. Sims from far and wide have been drawn to the Cove, some seeking prestige in the Heights district, others wanting to tango with the hustle and bustle of the inner city suburbs. Only a ferry ride away from the historical shopping district Bluewater Village and rife with rumours of a convergence of mystical energies, this is one town that could never be called boring!
AIRES
Sasha has an uncanny resemblence to that famous dead actress - you know, the blonde one? - and for years she's used it as a way to climb up the ladder of success in Studio Town. Nowdays however, nobody is interested in the starlets of days passed, and so Sasha's look has become unpopular. With the last of her meagre funds, she's moved herself into the ritziest apartment she could find this side of Bridgeport, and is determined to find her shining star again... no matter what it takes.
THE BALDWINS
Between keeping tabs on her errant uncle, maintining her beautiful home and raising her beautiful children, Isabel is always busy! So busy, infact, that she's failed to notice the changes in her husband. He's been working at Simsanto for years, and so the late nights he's been putting into work haven't even made her bat an eye. She knows her husband will do whatever it takes to support their family. If only she knew how far he would go...
BARTHELET
She may be dull as dishwater, but Amber is an excellent maid. She's notoriously good at cleaning up any mess - no matter how... sticky the situation.
THE CHOS
After the sudden death of her husband, Vivian was taken aback by how hard it was to be a single mother. She loved her daughter with all her heart, but she couldn't help but wish that she had some help. Now it seems that all her dreams have come true! She's moved into a new apartment complex and her neighbours have been so nice and helpful... especially Timothy Riley, downstairs. She can't help but think that there's something more there, but she doesn't want to get her hopes up.
THE CLEVELANDS
Marissa rules her family with an iron fist. After years of living with her, her husband has come to understand and appreciate the amount of effort Marissa puts into keeping their family and their lives running smoothly. Justin on the other hand is honestly terrified of his mother. He knows there's something not right with her, something terribly, terribly wrong. The chanting in the middle of the night, the strange smells coming from the basement - something horrible is going on in his home.
CONTENDER
Stuck in the old days when he actually was someone, Carlos has been consumed with a need to remind himself and everyone else that he's still got it. He's having a ball, and doesn't seem to care who gets hurt in the process.
THE CORDIALS
Complete opposites in every way, the Cordial girls seemed super sweet when they first moved in to the Aunt's old house. But as the months went on, most of their neighbours changed their opinion. Edith had been sweet and kind and most importantly quiet - something her nieces definitely are not. The neighbours have had it up to hear with the bangings and clangings and mysterious plumes of smoke appearing all over the property - not to mention the steady flow of strange people coming and going at all hours
What on earth are those two girls up to?
THE DEBATEAUS
Tara spent most of her life in the Belladonna Cove Orphanage, and once she turned sixteen, she knew that her chances of being adopted were growing slimmer and slimmer - that is until Armand walked in and picked her! Her, little Tara, over all the other orphans! She knows she shouldn't forget her friends at the Orphanage, but it's so hard to be around her old life when her new life is so wonderful.
THE GAVIGANS
Mary was willing to go along with Nathan's plan to move out of the Valley and up Belladonna Cove. She was willing to leave behind her family business and her friends for a chance at a fresh start. But now that they're here, all Mary can think about is going home. She's found a job at the local mechanic's, but it's not the same as running her own business. She knows that the boys are happy living in the big city, but she'd exchange it for palm trees and the beach any day.
GERE AND GREEN
Chastity and Gabe have been friends for years (ever since elementary school, in fact) and so when Chas needed a place to stay, Gabe was only too willing to let her move in with him. Living side by side with another witch has been a lot of fun, but the two of them are starting to butt heads - and Gabe is pretty sure it has something to do with the enormous crush he has on her.
THE GOODIES
After a wonderful marriage filled with fun and lots of traveling, the Goodies are itching to set off again. They know they're a lot older than they were when they used to jetset around, but surely they're not too old for one last adventure?
KINCAID
Dylan moved to the Cove for one sole reason - to make simoleons. From a small town cheerleader to the head of his own company, Dylan has crawled and climbed over everyone to get to where he is, and he's not going to be taken down anytime soon. And so what if people are talking about the mysterious way he seems to always have money on him - they don't know what they're talking about, and sometimes wishes do come true!
LARREA
Samantha moved to Belladonna Cove after an incident with one of her workmates drove her out of town. She desperately misses the wilds of Riverblossom Hills, but nothing will make her go back there. Belladonna Cove is okay, but the noise and fumes from the city are doing her head in. Maybe it's time to pack up and head somewhere else?
MOORE
Known around town as the guy with a heart of gold, Vincent would give it all away if it meant he could have Naomi back in his life. She never really said why she left, just that she needed to "find herself". He knows that near-death experiences can change a person, but surely she could have worked through her problems with him, instead of on her own? He's thrown himself into his work, but coming home to an empty house just reminds him of the reality of his life. He'll keep that smile plastered on though (for as long as he can, anyway).
THE NEWSONS & HUNT
After the thing with the falling satellite, Naomi has had some sort of early-mid-life crisis. She didn't want to spend the rest of her life being a rich man's wife, and she knew that she had more to offer than being a secretary at Vince's office. When a good friend asked her to help her out at the Orphanage, Naomi jumped at the chance. After only a month, she's fallen in love with the house and especially the kids, and nothing could tear her away - not even Vincent.
THE PATELS
Does the smile on his face hide the complete look of terror Ramir is feeling? It does? Okay good. Listen, he totally wanted a family and he was so ready for a kid - until Ana told him that she was pregnant. Do you know how much taking care of a kid costs? Well Ramir does. He did the research. He's done a lot of research, and nothing he's read seems to calm his nerves. Ana is so excited, and he knows that he can't exactly tell her doesn't want the baby... because he does! It's just nerves. It'll be fine. Right?
PETERSON
She may have fallen from great heights, but Jessica is completely fine with living in a trailer park and working in a kitchen. It doesn't matter that she had diamonds and pearls and furs and a jacuzzi... What's that? No, she's not crying, there's just something in her eye. Okay, so maybe she shouldn't have fooled around with that old guy, but Armand was never around, and a girl's gotta do what a girl needs to do. She does feel bad that she didn't really get to know Tara before Armand kicked her out. She would have liked to have been a mum.
RILEYS
After his wife died and he was let go from his job, Timothy thought life would never get better. However, that was two years ago, and now that he's working again, he's finding it easier to breathe. Vivian Cho has certainly been helping, and it makes him so happy to see how much Sally likes her and Vivian's little one. It would be great if they could all be a family... except ever since Timothy started seeing Vivian, strange things have been happening around the house. He knows Sally keeps talking about her Mum is still watching over her, but surely she didn't mean literally...
RUTHEFORD & WEIR
The happiest day of Geoff's life was when he moved out of Audrey Manor and into his own pad with his best buddy and partner in crime Connor. He knows that his sister has still got her eye on him, but that devil woman can do what she likes - Geoff doesn't live in the Heights anymore, and she can't touch him down here. His nights are filled with booze and partying, and for the first time in his life, Geoff feels free. He knows Connor thinks he should slow down, but c'mon man - you only live once, right?
SHINAndrea grew up in the poorer part of Belladonna Cove, but now that she’s started working for Brigit’s cleaning company, she was able to afford a sweet little home on Sienna Street, right near the water. It’s just her and her lizard, Cybil. It would be nice to have some friends, but she doesn’t have the time to hang out with anyone but the other girls in the company. Unfortunately, they haven’t been as welcoming to Andrea as Brigit has.
