Ireland

Okay so it's been a few days since I've been in Ireland. it's SWEEEEEEEEEEET! The plane ride was long, but having TV's and watching movies like Juno and The Kite Runner, and playing games like Bejeweled made the time go faster. We were in Dublin for a couple of days and we just left this morning to go to Galway... that is a smaller city. I love Dublin but it is REALLY expensive... really really. The pubs we went to we met some Irish guys, Danish guys, and Canadians... you get to meet a variety of people. We went to the children's hospital to get a tour and talk to a  doctor and social worker there. They start off at about 60.000 american dollars over here and go up to over 100,000 RIDICULOUS!!!! We got to tour a bit: we went through the Guiness factory and drank a bit of my free pint. I hate being on a schedule though which is what it was like in Dublin the entire time. We also saw the Dublin Castle, and other things. Honestly though I feel Dublin is a lot like NYC but with older buildings. Galway is a very "typical" looking Irish city and it is just so picturesque. I know I am going to love it... someone described it as "bohemia" like and I think it fits well.  I love the fish and chips here too, but yet again everything is expensive. The fashion here is awesome.... very conservative and classy. I want to copy them but I probably could never pull it off. They also hardly wear makeup which makes me want to live here! The pubs here are amazing and the irish guys are pretty funny too. They are so blunt and today at the pub one guy said that a women could never  do a presidents job. PS they like to talk politics a lot and are very passionate. I've watched a couple soccer matches at the pub which is great because everyone gets so fired up and say the word "fuck" every other word.  One of the hardest things I'm trying to get use to is that they drive on the other side of the road and in the other side of the car. It makes it kinda scary at times. As for the other students I'm traveling with, we are a great group and mix well. Its hard to have 12 girls at one place at the same time because of different tastes which is understandable. Our prof is pretty much amazing and she just strikes up the most hilarious convos with all kinds of men. I wish i had that witty humor that i can throw right back at them. I already got stuff for almost everyone except for myself and I'm not sure what I really want either. Anyway, I am really pumped to be here and trying to ignore my "cheap" little concious of mine and try to live a little.  That is all for now :)
