Annnd fics I've been enjoying lately.
HP REVIVAL. HP6 does have its uses. Alan Rickman is still god on earth by the way. I didn't realise how damned, INCREDIBLE that man was, until I re-remembered his presence as Snape. Couldn't take my eyes off him when he was on screen. I swear most of the scenes with Snape in them, my mouth remained slightly open from sheer unadulterated want. Snaaaape.
SO. A rec from the antique bin of oldies but goodies:
Can't Take The Sky by Cluegirl. Snape/Harry, NC-17. Pre-HP7. After destroying the locket and the cup, Harry find out it is much harder to destroy a horcrux than make one. He is struck with a curse which is slowly killing him. Only Snape can help him, one potion sip at a time. This story never fails to amaze me with its imagination and wonderful narrative voice. It will send chills down your spine, break your heart, and somehow, keep you reading until the end no matter what.
We All Float Down Here by akaiba. PINTO! NC-17. Take Sylar from Heroes and Danny from Blind Dating (a little movie with Chris Pine as an adorable blind man), and stir to make an epic romance. I had stumbled on this fic thinking it would be a nice fluffy bit of crossover. And got a six volume multi-chapter NOVEL with accompanying VIDEO. It's everything you would WANT in a slash crossover. Lovely characterisation and build up, plot, and MOST ESPECIALLY drawn out, lengthy storytelling to reinforce the one true pairing that is Chris Pine and Zach Quinto. I admit, it kept me up all night.
All I could wish for now is for a Quinto character to match up with Bo from Bottle Shock (with a side of Rickman). I kind of want to nominate Stefan from NoTORIous, just because.
Also for the LOLS is The George Clooney Experience by sparky77. Chris Pine/Zach Quinto RPS. And GEORGE CLOONEY. NC-17 LIKE WHOA. George Clooney is such a strange addition, but what can I say, I was amused by the crack. There are some lines in here which had me roaring with laughter.
I have have also finally CAVED and got myself Delicious Account. For this is for those not familiar is an organised reccing program to bookmark pages you like and share with others on your page. It it MEANS is that you can check out all the stuff I've been reading lately that I considered mindblowing on the one page (Sadly, most of it is RPS since I've been bingeing). It also means you can search for the fics YOU like through the tag system that lists what everyone else has bookmarked also. Makes finding the good stuff easier for those days when its nigh impossible to find any good fics to read.
I admit, the resource is mostly so I can stop having to manually link arlo_arleh to every story under the sun, now she can just be lazy and go to that page for a hit of porn. :D
