OMG PEOPLE IT'S FINALLY HAPPENING. THE DBZ LIVE ACTION MOVIE IS IN THE WORKS. Well, Dragon BALL movie, since if Goku is only 18ish they haven't hit the Z part. Though if he's 18... why is Grandpa Gohan still alive? Flashbacks?This... this is going to be the most terrible thing I will ever watch, I guarantee it, but people, this is MY Tranformers movie, the one I've been waiting for all my life. I'm getting my LOL on at ONTD. You know who would be the most fantastically horrible yet, kind of perfect actors for Goku and Vegata? Tom Welling and Michael Rosenbaum. You can just PLONK the spike top on MR's head! It wouldn't make a difference! Any casting choice outside of unknowns will be terrible anyway. Get ready for FIRE AND RUIN PEOPLE.
Meanwhile, I've been hankering for GW fic, but it's horribly hard to find anything. I twitch and whirl away in horror the microsecond I think of hitting The Pit Of Voles. Thank god some authors are still delivering the goods.

Summary: Set in-timeline, Heero and Duo meet up in South Africa unexpectedly and Duo tries to introduce Heero to a place that has become important to him. They don't exactly see eye-to-eye.
Why: The perfect combination of stoic, obtuse Heero, Duo-who-is-not-a-simpering-idiot and a simple, yet revealing clashing of world views that makes this the kind of GW fic I want to cradle to my chest. It has the kind of gundam techno babble you don't enough of in GWfics, but also that unique, mystifying way of presenting dialogue that manages to get you to read between the lines to get past the Heero-ese. I miss GW fic like this.
Gackt, Feeling the fire on a rocking horse. Priceless. I never get sick of how Gackt can make fun of himself with his straight, final fantasy plastic face. Yeah, babeh.
