Why: You know that AU your heart has been crying out for but your mind rebels against the possibility of it existing, that far fetched want for the universe where Rodney Mckay is a snarky, bitchy, Lois Lane and Sheppard is Superman. That's right. It sounds ludicrous but that doesn't stop you from wanting to click.
Naruto: Feels like ages since I;ve found good Naruto fic. Thank god The Hoyden exists. :D
Opening The Roads by thehoyden

Rating: NC-17
Summary: He was a chuunin academy teacher, not a courtier trained in statecraft and diplomacy.
Why: Fics where Iruka is an active ninja without turning into the Iruka-sue are few and far in between. Ones where there is such plausible and simple conditions for a mission rather than a forced, grand epic even fewer. I love how the tantalising premise of Iruka going undercover is for such a straightforward mission. It feels like something these people would actually do. This story is lifted up even more with delightful little world details such as the different dialects, occupations and of course, Kakashi being his usual irresistable badass self.
*HEARTBREAK* THE KING IS DEAD* JOEY CHESTNUT HAS OFFICIALLY BEAT KOBAYASHI. MY IDOL. MY POOR EATING IDOL. 66-63 hotdogs in 12 minutes. Yikes. I kind of hope Chestnut explodes, because Kobayashi SHOULDN'T be taken down. But I also have to admit that's a stunning win. *cry*
In RL hate news: I am yet again struck sick from femininity. I've also learned a new appreciation for Fish and Chips. Apparantly it's so mushy that when you throw it back up, it slides quite easily, and tastes exactly the same. YEAY for TMI. Haha. Plz ignore me.
