Guys, I think I've found where Vincent Valentine shops for furniture.

Casket furniture. At Casket Furniture, our products can last you a lifetime, and still be the perfect vehicle to carry you to the great beyond. Whether it's a couch, shelf, or end table, our products are designed to blend effortlessly into most contemporary interior designs. Every product can also be transformed into a high-quality casket at your time of need.

LOL. Practical AND morbid.

Jesus, I am an idiot and this a little whiny, but DAMN am I kicking myself for not reading this, oh, TWO DAYS BEFORE when I clicked on it and it WORKED.

By this I mean smittywing's The Best Things In Life Are Free fic, aka, the SGA High School AU that SHOVES ALL OTHER HIGH SCHOOL AUs IN THEIR SMALL UNCOMFORTABLE LOCKERS. And I've been putting it off, because it's such an excellent read and I wanted to sit down and enjoy it, but sadly her journal (is hopefully temporarily) deleted. *sighs and KICKS MYSELF HARD* Does anyone know if she has another archive... or if she's going to come back? I'm posting this mostly, so if she UNDELETES, her username will show up neat and tidy without the crossed out mark and I can fully enjoy a fic I've been waiting forever to be finished. Oh why, oh why, did I put it off. (I am also going to feel hugely silly if she returns, oh, within a day or two).

NEVERMIND, Some kind soul has pointed me out to her domain, and ALL IS WELL. And now the link WORKS! GO AND READ.

But on a lighter Stargate note, I watched all my favourite episodes at Jazzo's recently and I'm feeling pretty HIGH on the 'Lantis!love, so some recs:

Fatman and Ronon by tardis80 Cutest little comic ever. I just want to hold it to my chest and never let go, it is so adorable and happy. Best spinoff of the 'Batman and Ronon' line which was PRICELESS within itself, but with an actual MORAL to the story, this is GENIUS.

skoosiepants's new story
The Long Journey Home
Pairing: RodneyxJohn
Rating: PG-13
Summary: Star Warrior - working title: Space Snakes Attack! - was an instant money-making favorite in the sci-fi and romance sect.
Tantalising quote: When he was twenty-five, the bulk of the world thought Rodney McKay was a woman. Or, well, they thought M. R. McKay was a woman. To be specific, they thought he was a slim redhead with green eyes and a guileless smile, the stock photo of an aspiring writer who’d been slick-talked into giving up her image for a minute percentage of any residuals.
Why: Another brilliant AU whose strength, right from the word go, comes from its mysterious and sense of adventure. It might read like a Harlequinn story just from the summary, which, okay, it kind of it, but there is also a very solid and intriguing, not to mention BRILLIANT premise to the plot (which I don't want to spoil). It may need a knowledge of SG-1 and SGA up to The Return, but for those who can get all the references and the possibilities, this is truly a nice read. It relates heavily to a certain SG-1 episode, and if THAT episode was done half as well as this... and with the Atlantis crew, well... I don't know, my brain would probably spin off in joy. I got so very caught up in Rodney's glee and happiness and also his worry. Excellent use of in built story elements to make this AU, I am impressed and delighted.
