Why: asvfgshd. My Prince of Tennis OTP in it's most brilliant, loveable glory. It's the kind of fic that makes you SMILE AND SMILE and then FLAIL all over your seat because it's so darn adorable. They're such BOYS here. I love this fic to absolute PIECES, because first of all it is LONG and in character and well written, and second of all, OMG, KAIDOU. Kaidou is his inexplicable, somewhat cluelessly HOT self, the ever polite and sensible boy inside a fierce (HOT) exterior. And Inui is a big giant freak, but that's why we love him. I can't even begin to describe how much this story just brightened my day. But I GUARANTEE you'll be GRINNING like a maniac all through it. This is the one OTP fic to rule them all, with a iron reign of ugly Christmas ornaments.

HOMG SOMEONE SUBTITLED THE CORE CRISIS TRAILER *IS SO HAPPY I COULD DIE*
samdhgbsakdg. YES. I'm so glad that my grasp of the Japanese language is good enough to understand most of that ANYWAY, but it doesn't take away from the SHEER ORGASMIC PLEASURE of hearing Zack in all his loveable puppy-like exhuberance.
THE HERO WORSHIP OMG. Sephiroth is just so SUAVE in this AND IS TOTALLY HAVING DIRTY, BITCHY, SEXY THREESOMES WITH GENESIS AND ANGEAL. I'd also like it to be known that I DON'T CARE WHAT CRITICS ARE GOING TO SAY. ANGEAL IS AWESOME.
Him with his WOOBIE-Cloud!like INSECURITY and MONOLOGUING and let's not forget his HUGE WANG. I like his drama. His use for sword-play just makes me *SIGH* happily since there is so much FORESHADOWING in that ONE exchange. You can just TELL Zack's style, and later CLOUD'S style. Seeing Zack is like getting an insight into Cloud, but it feels so... PURE. UNDILUTED ZACK. RIGHT HERE is what this game is advertising. I can't help but be tempted.
I still *HEART* the Cloud POV shots like CRAZY and the Zack and Aeris interaction.
AND GACKT omg. It's so OBVIOUSLY GACKT when you view it in subtitles. THAT'S HIS GUNDAM VOICE. He's got the whole STARING OFF MEANINGFULLY INTO THE DISTANCE thing *DOWN*. I also like how very Moonchild he is... except he stole Hyde's role of OMG YOU BETRAYED ME YOU BASTARDS.
How much do I love Tseng's dry humour? So. Goddamn. Much. He and Zack are the awesome duo.
I want this game SO MUCH. Except I know I can't play it. BUT DAMMIT. THE TRAILER MAKES ME WANT TO TRY.

Why: Few AUs make me FLAIL with glee, or spark so many inspiring ideas, but this is one of them, a gem-like piece in the deep dark void that is FFVII-AUs, where all the characters slot perfectly into place but are undeniably themselves. This fic made me happy to just keep reading and builds a whole new world for these characters by saying so little. It's the kind that gives you the power to IMAGINE, and does it so wittily and humourously, I am now totally sucked in. She hasn't even WRITTEN it yet, but the idea of Reno as an art teacher is RIGHT UP THERE with him working at Maccas. It's... just such a wonderfully, happy picture to paint. *g*

Why: Chibirisuchan has always been a brilliant author, but the sheer ABILITY to convey subtle details in this just took my breath away. Far and away the best version of showing how Sephiroth came to be slightly unhinged in his lifetime. It isn't a happy, fluffy piece in the least, in fact, it's so powerfully gut wrenching it hurts to think about, but I love that aspect of this fic. It doesn't try and shy away from the cold hard facts, the very human weaknesses Zack and Sephiroth show and the very inhuman actions they perform. Sephiroth is so perfectly imperfect and broken. It's the fic I've been waiting for to break my heart. And it does it so beautifully.
