*dances*
The year has come around again! And tis my birthday! LET THERE BE CELEBRATION.
... while I go to work for five hours to cash in on Sunday pay load.
But LATER, oh later I'm going to down to the LOWENBRAU for dinner, and THERE I SHALL FEAST ON MEAT like a big blubbery carnivorous dinosaur. It shall be fun, despite the booking process for that place kicking my arse.
Things that made me extraordinarily happy yesterday and set me in the partay mood:
For those not in the KNOW, some GORGEOUS person has started a
PERSIAN BOY WEBCOMIC based off Mary Renault's stories!!!
The art in this is SUPERB, I'm nearly breathless with love just reading it, never mind noticing all the tiny details, like the curl of Bagoas's hair, the jewels, the cloaks, the Persian reliefs that are historically based and guh, the perfect anatomy. It is insanely beautiful and any Renault fan would have a visual orgasm. All the characters retain their personalities, and FINALLY, FINALLLLLLLLYYYY I get an Alexander and Hephaestion I can fall in love with all over again with the right height difference, the Greek facial features and *shiver* Alexander's cheek scar. Eee.
ONEPIECE x BLEACH
Thirteen Going on Fourteen by
peroxide_ficRating: PG-13
Characters: Zoro, Sanji, Soul Society + Captains.
Summary: Zoro and Sanji die and rampage over Soul Society. Hijinks ensue.
Why: BEST. CROSSOVER. EVER. You know the crossover I've been DYING to see? This is it. The one where Zoro and Sanji are magnificiently in character, bitch at each other like an old married couple while swimming and kicking ass through the crap Soul Society throws at them. One that READS like an adventure and makes me KEEP reading, on the edge of my seat, smiling in delight and wishing to GOD it will never stop. This is superbly done and practically defines a 'well written oneshot', that is, if I didn't want more, right this second. *goes to reread*
I'm kind of at odds for gifts this year, I have no idea what I want since nothing is out (and SGA is only out in November 29th omg why is it so late, woe is Australia), but a tentative list is:
- A DVD Burner. I am starting to run out of space on my computer. How the hell did 250 GB go so FAST? *boggles*
- A SUPER LARGE pack of CDRs. I have none.
- Fragile Things by Neil Gaiman. Now book woo.
- Those largish Final Fantasy 7 figurines with the moveable joints and the crazy pretty, so Sephiroth, Cloud and Vincent can then have tea parties. And I can make them have doll sex. Oh come on, like there's ANOTHER reason you buy these things.
- Filler Bunny. Every time I see it, it just FILLS ME WITH TEH CUTE.
- Pillows. I like pillows. The Cat pillow is starting to get very worn from all your molesting.
- The Final Fantasy Advent Children memorbilia book from Kinokuniya. It's the $50ish dollar one that's large book size with Sephiroth looking extremely fuckable and evil on the front.
- FLUFFY SLIPPERS. No one ever gets me these. I like those razy big slippers that look like animal feet and can encase my whole foot. They're insane but awesome. The crazier the design the better.
- DVDs! But since I own so many already I guess it's kind of difficult. I kind of want my own copy of Zatoichi, ooh, there's also Stargate SG-1 Season 1 (I missed out on that, but don't get it if it's more than $45), coupling, cheap Hornblower ($79 or less), uh, ... House? I can't think of too many dvds I haven't got already. Yikes.
... Or you can find me crazy stuff you know I'll love because you know me well... like Gackt merchandise, or wheely skate sneakers with the wheels that can flip out, or clothing, or... long satisfying Nobuta fanfic.
*shrug* Anything is fine. I'm too concentrated on the potential meat in take tonight. I'm going to be all Luffy and go MESSSSSSSSSSSSHHHHHHHHHHIIIIIIIII.
YEAY birthday.
