I have been waiting to rec this ever since it began, but I considered the fact it would be finished in 26 days, for 26 chapters I may as well rec it when it was fully complete and resplendent in it's glory.

Pairing: James Norrington x Jack Sparrow
Rating: NC-17
Summary:Commodore Norrington and Captain Sparrow find themselves in a nasty jam and must rely on one another to escape.
Why: There is rarely a fic that is so well paced, captivating, and manages to provide both adrenaline rush and eyebrow scorching sexiness in one go. I am also shamelessly in love with the idea of Norrington turning pirate (or being slightly roughed up) in general, but what made this fic better was how it gave that common theme a twist, it drew Jack and James together in a manner which is believeable AND plotty by forcing them into service(read:kidnapped) for another captain with dubious honour. I liked that they weren't the big personas they are here, they got the opportunity to be just men, in a neutral territory for a relationship to blossom. And yes, I have a lot of ship!squee. This fic really SELLS ship board life during this periods with all it's intrepid morals, the camaradarie between the crewmen and the strict confines of space. It also has the wonderful and inevitable combination of rum, sodomy and the lash. It reads like an adventure wrapped within a romance wrapped within a daring tale of action and intrigue, wrapped within one of Jack Sparrow's mythic tales of high seas and dashing men. I love it to bits. Read it.
And I am seriously craving that Superman Returns Clark/Lois/Richard fic. Come on people, own up, I know there is one out there.
