(no subject)
I fixed my computer for a short while. There was something wrong with hal.dll so I needed to repair it. Whatever happened damaged more of my hard drive than hal though because a lot of my applications needed to be reinstalled, as they were not able to work....including Microsoft Office. Blehhh. I was in the process of fixing that today when my computer started making the worst noise I've ever heard a computer make. I tried to shut it down but I think it decided to freeze, but i'm not sure that that's what actually happened; I didnt let it chill for too long. I just held down the power button to shut it off as soon as possible before it exploded. I called my dad and told him and he said it sounds like my computer is beyond help in the way we were working on it for the past week. He says I need to bring it home so he can try and fix it. He'll either need to replace the hard drive or just give me a new laptop. Still havent backed up my files. I'm going to try to turn it on for like five minutes just to get some stuff onto an external drive.
Its pretty safe to say that my computer is terminally ill. :(
Other than that, yesterday was my birthday and I had a terrific birthday weekend. My lovely boyfriend came to visit and it was amazing because I hadnt seen him for three weeks. We saw The Nightmare Before Christmas 3D and it was amazing. It was like watching it live...but obviously not because it's a cartoon. We also walked around and had to have an emergency stop at Dunkin Donuts because Don's blood sugar dropped really low (since he hadnt eaten all day) and he seriously was about to faint. It was scary. He recovered really quickly after having a donut though. On saturday we went to the gym (whattt??) and then went to go see Saw III. I'm really sore from the gym. Saw III was good, but not as gory as the others. I think they set it up for a sequel...but I'm not exactly sure what the sequel could possibly be like, givin the ending of this one. I dont know.
Sunday Don and I did some mad cuddling and then around 2 we met everyone at the Mary Kay Party/birthday party where there was cake and disney princess party things that I dont know what to call them. The things that you blow and the paper uncurls. Omg there was so much cake. There was the birthday cake which was beautiful and Kristy did an amazing job with the lettering, then Kaylan baked the most amazing brownie thing everrrrrrrrrrrrr. It's so tasty. It requires a lot of milk though.
My love stayed through more than half of the mary kay thing, then had to go home :(.
After the party Kaylan stayed and chilled for a little and we talked and it was fun, but she had to leave around five and I reluctantly came back to reality and realized I really really really needed to study for my A&P exam which we had today. So I studied a little bit until Katie came running into our room to notify us about a fire which had occurred, so we pretty much got all our stuff at that point and left, knowing that we'd have to evacuate in a little bit anyway. We all had places to be in 15 minutes anyway, so we just went early. It was an eventful evening.
Sooo today I had an A&P exam and then my computer died. I'm currently in Stats lab and it's boring. I really just want to nap. I miss my love.
Tomorrow's halloween and though I don't have a costume, I'm super excited to wear my halloween hair band. It's awesome.
