I have to say the past few days have been well spent.
After seeing my chiropractor, I immediately went to work. I have a few projects I'm working on-- two of which are for other people, which I'm excited about. I'm putting a lot of effort into those pieces so I'm taking extra care and time with them. Not too far from now, though, I will be done and I'm super stoked to hear the reactions.
I also got another side project done, something that's been on my mind awhile. If you're a fan of Tanya Huff like I am, you know of her series, WIZARD OF THE GROVE. The main character in those novels is one of my favorite wizards and I have been wanting to draw her since I first picked up the book years ago. Of course, there have been a few sketches I've done of her, but nothing major. Since I needed something to keep my hands busy between projects, I decided to finally draw her up. She came out lovely! Better than I had anticipated. I love her eyes. They shine exactly like I wanted them to.
Now I'm going to focus on the rest of my characters from THESE CHAINS THAT BIND. After I finish my paying projects, of course.
Since I'm limited on markers, my character slot is very narrow. There are only certain people who can be drawn and colored accordingly, but I think I can actually do a piece of Antton. I was afraid to because of his skin color, but I messed around with my markers today and came up with some interested combinations. I think I may have a larger slot than I realized.
Who is someone else who needs the spotlight? Perhaps I will draw Charlie, since his sister was recently done and he is, after all, a very important character!
It's nearing six in the morning. I think I should actually try to catch some z's before my roommate wakes me up after only two hours of sleep, hahaha.
G'night folks!
