Tu es vache.

Today I rose and shone at 2 pm. After a delicious breakfast of eggs, cumin rice, and tomate frito, Erin, Stephanie, and I went to the drum circle. It was a really nice day and everyone was being terribly picturesque and I deeply regret forgetting my camera. We sat on the ground in front of the drummers and watched everyone dancing, including The Guy, who was wonderful today. He's just this dude that is at the drum circle every week who just dances all around and has wild curly hair and wears clothes that look like he made them himself and acts like some sort of childish and friendly drum circle spirit. He kind of looks how Paulie Shore would look if he were actually cool or good looking or taller. Today he jumped around with a toy alligator and flung candy at everyone from inside it. It was fantastic. Also interesting about today: I saw someone get kicked in the face for the first time in my entire life, and this sweaty shirtless crazy dude (incidentally, he was the kicker) tried to herd me into the armpit of his embrace, and now my sweet little ruffly yellow shirt smells like man-o.

In other news, I just had a lovely conversation with Erin about books and libraries. (We both like them, but off the record, we dislike college card catalogues.) I am currently compiling a list of objectives, that is, a list of books I need to read. This summer, I plan on getting into some serious self-guided education (through literature, of course) and also have decided that I want to start reading comics and graphic novels, especially after seeing V for Vendetta and then reading about Alan Moore. Any suggestions for my list are more than welcome. So are chocolate cupcakes.
