The best Sundays in Madrid start off with the Rastro, the biggest weekly outdoor market in the universe, which is mighty big and mighty noisy and mighty cool.

Sometimes you see some dudes playing instruments and you give them fifty whole centimos so you don't feel guilty about taking their picture, but you don't even mind.

After the Rastro you take the bus back home and have a nice nutritious lunch with your housemate. Then, you call up some friends and go to Retiro. All good things that happen on Madrid on Sunday beigin with capital R.

The best place to sit is on top of the wall between the columns because from there you can see everyone dancing and playing with Devil Sticks and Ribbon Dancers.

From the columns, you can also take very bad pictures of yourself and your friends.

You stay there all afternoon and all evening, if you want, and just watch everyone while the sky changes.
