T minus 23 days, and counting...
So I'm out of this hell-hole (Los Angeles) in almost three weeks. I can't believe that it feels so far away. There is only one place I want to be right now--my good old hometown, Reno, NV. I miss my family and my friends. Reno just kicks LA's ass in so many ways. Let me list:
-family there.
-Artown in July.
-Can walk everywhere from my dad's house.
-Good nightlife (okay, maybe LA's is better...But Reno's is pretty good, and it's not a 20 minute drive away!)
-clean air!
-cycling!
-Ethan (1 year old next week!)
-No June Gloom. (for future reference, any of you, don't visit LA in the ACTUAL summer months, as you will be sadly disappointed. LA suffers from having no summer during the summer months. All the rest of the year, yes, but June? Nope...cloudy skies until the mid-afternoon, and then tepid sunlight until twilight. Reno sunlight definitely kicks LA sunlight's ass.)
That's all for now. And please remember, I don't mean to cause offense with my preference of Reno over LA. I'm sure there are plenty of people who prefer LA over anywhere else for a number of reasons. They're all selfish, shallow, assholes, but hey, they're entitled to their preferences.
