(no subject)
I've put on 1lb, but seeing as I'd convinced myself that I'd put on half a stone I actually feel quite cheerful! Although I am now yet another pound off target, but it does serve me right - being "off diet" whilst on holiday is excusable, but being "off diet" for 2 weeks because of a 4 day holiday is not.
How funny was the Eurovision Song Contest last night LOL? The songs were dire, but the voting was hysterical! Actually, you could probably've used it to give a lesson in Eastern European history and geography. I did start to feel inclined to write Terry Wogan a long letter about the Russo-Turkish conflicts and the Danubian Principalities question because he just did not seem to get why Romania and Moldova gave each other 12 points, but even I'm not that sad! It was a bit odd that Estonia gave Russia 12 points though, and it was actually quite freaky/uncomfortable that Turkey gave Armenia 12 points. It really was all very funny, though. And three cheers for Serbia winning! And for all the lovely views of the Russian cathedral which is my favourite building in Helsinki (I'd really make myself popular if I said that to anyone in Finland ... like in Latvia when I got very excited because the hotel in Riga was opposite the Russian cathedral there LOL). I am so weird.
