I went to Mary Land and met an Ana instead!
So yeah, I was going to write this back, what, Sunday? I'm still recovering.
So, I took Friday off cause I worked Saturday of the week before for evil inventory. I was supposed to start on the road at noon. But I had to stop at Starbucks first for a frap for the road.
Can't drive without a frap, especially for 4+ hours.
Get to Starbucks... construction on the street. NO FREAKEN parking! So WTF, I go to Barnes and Noble instead... and get accosted by old co-workers... for an hour.
Now it's 1:15 and I'm on the road. Driving driving driving... bum bum bum! The George Washington Bridge. With traffic. A LOT of traffic. A Lot of traffic with people having to change lanes and merge and not really knowing how to do that because they are idiots and there is construction going on too! But I survived and got over the bridge and started on my drive down the length of New Jersey, then across the tip of Delaware and into Maryland.
Yey, I find Ana's place easily. Thank you Google maps. Yey Ana finds me. Lots of hugging and bouncing. Drop stuff off in her lair. Meet her landlord lady. Get food (damned if I remember from where though...) Watch Life as a House. Cry. Cry some more. Refuse to let George!Muse try and move in just to play with Ana's Sam!Muse.
Go to bed. Wake up at 6am to Annoyingest High Pitched Cricket from Hell (tm). The damn thing won't stop. Ana throws me pillow to suffercate myself cover my ears. End up piling a blue blanket on my head like a freaky sideways turban and then go back to sleep in blissful silence until 9.
Go to Ren Fest. Wear corset. Damn thing looks hot on me, but my stomach, of all things, hates it and towards afternoon I start to feel sick. But we had fun. Watched lots of hot guys with swords, and then more hot guys with swords, and then some Macbeth on Speed, and lady played with my boobs cause she said my corset wasn't tight enough.
Went back. Drove to mall for dinner and shopping. Bought Life as a House (no George!Muse go away!) and highlander:Endgame. Also get pencil sketch of Johnny Depp that looks exactally like my muse Kiance. Go back to lair. Watch first DVD of Gravitation while doing vodka shots. Watch the ending of Endgame. Go to bed, hoping the Annoyingest High Pitched Cricket from Hell (tm) has found a new home.
Wake up at 11am Sunday. I'm supposed to start back at noon. Pack while Ana is still sleeping. Get dressed. It's noon. Mom calls. No, I'm not heading out till 1 now cause I need to eat.
Yes, we go to a different mall. Get food. Ali gets Godiva chocolates. Ana gets flirted with (they were, I'm telling you!)... Ali finally gets on the road for home at 3:30.
Ooppss.
Tolls to get to Maryland = $14.45
Tolls to get back to NY = $21.45
Gas = $30 (Half tank fillup after getting there, and in Newark again)
Seeing Ana: Priceless.
Get home just in time for Desperate Housewives season premire, so all is good.
