i <3 summer
*HAPPY BIRHTDAY JAKE!*
so much has happened since my last update, but trust me, this entry wont be that long
mr paseltiner had the 2004 nhs board over for lunch the 12th which was sooo nice. id seen most of the board throughout the summer but to see mr and mrs p was great. we all shared college stories and im glad to hear everyones having so much fun. mr and mrs p are well and have been quite the travelers throughout their retirement. they brought us back murano glass little monkeys from italy which are so nice and it was so thoughtful of them. the food was delicious and healty, of course. we're meeting up again next week to go see the producers on broadway and go to lunch at mangia e bevi. im very excited for it.
in other news, my fish died... i was pretty distraught about it. RIP Fishy. leave your prayers (lol)
OAR concert at jones beach on the 15th was siiiiiiick! so much fun and such great seats! the crowd was awesome and the tailgate before was insane. i had such a great time and definately need to see them again sometime.
left for new jersey that saturday morning with jen and crissy by train/bus. wasnt too bad of a journey. david and kreuger came to pick us up at the bus station at willowbrook mall and we got some lunch. that night we went to a party. it was in this guys backyard and of course i met a lot of great, fun, drunk people. miller lite abundant, we had a great time. there was a big bonfire and beer pong and all that set up. such a FUNNY night but the best part was definately when jen crissy and i caught fraser sitting on the floor in the kitchen ripping the fridge apart looking for "cheese and buns." in his drunken quest he began gnawing on the plastic of a small taylor ham. oh gosh, i wish i had a video camera. it was hysterical. i love those guys... davids friend nick brought his cousin, steven, along. steves going to be a freshman at marist and hes awesome. he drove us home and we blasted taking back sunday... of course, i barely remember the ride and when we got back we played a few games of pong on the infamous table in davids basement. i couldnt see the cups clearly so that didnt go too well... sunday morning we woke up around 1 haha. we grabbed a small bite to eat and went on our HIKE! oh yes, up a freakin mountain in new jersey! it was awesome... me jen crissy david and nick (the woodsman haha). it was crazy uphill and so hot and humid out but a great workout and it was beautiful once we had the time to appreciate it. we had a couple of spills and slips here and there and got SO DIRTY but it was AWESOME! i found a little orange salamander along the way and a lot of interesting/pretty plants and shrooms. unfortunately nick got stung by like 5 bees on the way out, but hes a tough cookie and we had a great time... david had people over that night for a lil shindig and we played some more pong and just hung out. i <3 the new jersey kids. i cant wait to head back! monday afternoon, we left reluctantly and headed back to long island.
saw charlie and the chocolate factory. i love johnny depp so much. creepy ass movie and it really left me speechless. it was awesome, i thought. but theres no way you can compare it to the first one. its a totally different movie. it was great and really well done.
mom had her garage sale this past weekend but i fortunately avoided the madness with work and going to the beach or gym. david came to long island for a kind of suprise visit on sunday until monday afternoon. we had dinner with my family sunday, went to pretes for a bit, then just spent some time together at the docks. we met up with val jacki marlo and jamie and a few of his friends at the diner late night because david wanted to see the marist kids. monday david accompanied me to the dentist and we had a huuuuge lunch at the diner. i did not eat dinner monday night, omg... lol. i had work @ 6 so david left right before and work sucked of course. only 10 days til im back in new jersey. i cant wait!
