There's a pause because he's actually figuring out a potential new world. One that actually, finally taps into his love of space operas. I think it's all the Gundam SEED he's been watching. Although I can already see various inspiration points--Star Wars, Star Trek, Final Fantasy VIII, Wing Commander, Battletech/Mechwarrior, Gundam Wing, Gundam SEED, Wolf's Rain, Naruto...it may even finally have a place to put his love of starfighter battles, academy school settings, teenage/young adult romance, and futuristic technology into. It looks like it may also be the place where the most anime/chinese wuxia influence goes as he's already picturing characters who leap and move so fast they disappear and the like....whereas both his NanoLife and Nocturnal Realm worlds exist with a certain amount of logic and rules.
Hopefully he'll get all his ideas down soon and then start back with the regular updates.
