The Engagement Party - Super long post, with pictures!
What an amazing event! We are still exhausted from the party on Sunday - it was a great time.
We were so busy at the party, we were unable to get alot of pictures with our own camera (we forgot!) but are relying on our friends and family to give us what they were able to take. With that...
About 175 people showed up (damn the 40 people who rsvp'd and did not come for whatever reasons: some legit, some plain "forgot" wtf??). We were so busy, we weren't able to actually sit down and eat. It was all greeting people, checking to see how things were going - by the time we both turned around, it was 7 hours later and our stomachs were growling. LMAO!! And this is EXACTLY why we're having a destination wedding!
There was food enough to feed a small country, open bar (oh boy did that get interesting), and amazing dessert to be had. My favorite cake from this bakery that I adore (chocolate cake with chocolate mousse and fresh whipped cream) and 25lbs of chocolate covered strawberries made that morning by my aunt. We had these adorable chocolate bars that were personalized with our picture and just sweetness..All in all, a great time to be had.
I'm a bit horrified that I started the night off in 5 inch stilettos, only to end up in flip flops at the end of the night. OMG, my feet were going to fall off. It was nonstop dancing and craziness!!
