Dude! So we've got a piece of the floor up in the shop, and have been able to make some decisions about how to finish it. The prettiest and least 'spensive fix is: remove subflooring, remove the inch to half-inch of mortar underneath, and refinish the perfectly good wood floor under it. what this takes is mostly (in the words of our expert) Brute Strength and Ignorance. If you have some brute strength and ignorance to spare, and you'd like to help us chip the mortar off the floor sometime in the next week, please let me know! Myself, I like smashing stuff and am looking forward to it. but there's enough to go 'round.
who's with me?
