What can you see, on the horizon?

QUICKIES:

1. i finished Carrie just fine.  The book's not really all that scary... but really dramatic.  I relate it to how i felt when reading Sybil by Flora Rheta Schrieber.  A true story about multiple personalities disorder about a woman, Sybil, who had the record number (at the time) of 16 separate personalities.  She was repeatedly traumatized as a child which lead to the disorder, and Carrie had a similarly traumatized childhood... only the ending is a lot more bloody, murderous and vengeful than Sybil is.  I recommend that anyone who is interested, even remotely, in multiple personality disorder (like i am) should read Sybil.

2. Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist is, in a word, awesome.  Any music lover should definately see it.  I kinda wanna marry Michael Cera.  lol.  Im a sucker for dorks especially "underdogs."

3. i've really been into instrumental or electronic music lately.  The problem is i dont have very much.  I have soundtracks... and i have Manneheim Steamroller.  that pretty much covers my collection, which makes me sad.  And i've listened to the Romeo + Juliet Soundtrack (#2) and now i really really really really wanna watch the movie, but i must resist!  i still remember way way way too much of it.   Screw it.  I'm going to watch it tomorrow.

4.  I've had this feeling like i need to make a radical change.  I need to do something crazy or something that pushes my boundaries.  I was at Hot Topic today and i saw this temporary hair dye that would change my hair color to "hot cherry"  or what i call "Run-Lola-Run Red"  or otherwise known as "Sydney-Bristow-In-The-Pilot-of-Alias Red."  I really really REALLY wanted to buy it.  I've been wanting to do that forever.  I've also been flirting with the idea of moving to Loveland, CO.  Omaha is so boring to me anymore.  I feel like i've been everywhere and met everyone.  I need a change, and honestly, there is nothing but family and a few friends keeping me here.  And even the family part is just mom, my brother, my two uncles, and a married cousin.  Also, i wont lie, i wouldn't mind meeting a Colorado boy.  Loveland is kind of like the Omaha of Colorado.  Its roughly the same size, though with a smaller population.  It's also like, less than an hour away from Estes Park.  The winters i think are crazier which doesn't thrill me, but i think i've survived several freak winters in Nebraska that i can handle anything the mountains throw at me.  It's always in the back of my mind.
