I have some good news again... on the 27-29th i'm going to Minneapolis to see the band Coheed and Cambria with Old Best Friend. Im really excited just to get out of Omaha for three days. I really only know two songs of Coheed's though, but i'm practically paying like, nothing. She owes me $100 for the Linkin Park concert a few months back (where Coheed opened for them) and the tickets are $20ish, and then she'll take care of the hotel stay too, because we're looking for something cheap but safe... like Holiday Inn or something. All i'd have to help out with is part of the gas, which... yeah is going to get a bit pricey what with it soaring in price everyday, but im really greatful to not have to worry about paying for a few things while i'm ridiculously poor. It's really nice. And i really needed an excuse to travel for a few days, i think we both need it actually, what with her recent breakup and all.
I also bought the book Twilight by Stephenie Meyer yesterday, and i read a good 65% that night, and then finished it today, and that book is 500 pages, and i've never been able to go through a 500 page book in two days, so im pretty impressed with myself on that front. I read it because i heard it was being made into a movie, and thats how i judge which books to read; if it's being made into a movie, the book has to be good... thats my logic anyway. Also, Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson (aka Cedric Diggory) were going to star in it, which is why i became interested in it to begin with. Anyway, i was bad and i bought the two sequels at $20 a piece, and im ridiculously poor so this was a stupid thing, but i cant help it. When im into something, i'm really into it. Anyway, needless to say, im a sucker for romance novels (not the trashy stuff, even though some of those are kinda hot) and though it's a little off what i normally like, the way Stephenie Meyer writes sucked me right in.
"Does it seem that way to you?" he murmured, his nose gliding to the corner of my jaw. I felt his hand, lighter than a moth's wing, brushing my damp hair back, so that his lips could touch the hollow beneath my ear."
that is how she sucks me in. damn i love good writing.
