let me clue you in on what's going on here.
dietcoke42 asked me this:
I have some questions for you!
1. What is your absolute FAVORITE song?
2. Book?
3. Movie?
4. What movie makes you cry every time?
5. What movie leaves you feeling incredibly happy every time?
and normally i would answer these questions in a comment (which i almost did) but since i'm such a complete rambler, that i just decided to made this a whole blog.
LONG VERSION:
1. This is probably the hardest question to answer... i like so many songs, and i like so many different kinds of songs to judge... and when faced with this question i normally answer Rnw@y by Linkin Park... because if you even forget about the lyrics or whats being sung... and just focus on the background music, it's just so... beautiful, i just cant describe it. However, i just dont know if there really truely is #1 favorite. I'm really very fickle about what my favorite songs are... my favorites kind of change by the month... i mean, seriously, i can listen to the Sheryl Crow Greatest Hits Cd once, and be hooked on it for the rest of the month. Same with Linkin Park, and the LOTR soundtracks... so... yeah. it just depends on the month really. What is it currently you ask? It's all about Flyleaf baby.
2. This is without a doubt The Notebook by Nicholas Sparks. i've read it about a million times (and that was before the movie came out) i actually read it after i read A Walk To Remember (because the movie was coming out) and i just was like... how on earth did AWTR get a movie made before The Notebook!?! then one day not-so-recently after that, i checked online to see what Rachel McAdams was going to be doing after being crazy awesome in Mean Girls, and i saw that she was going to be Allie in the Notebook movie, and i just started freaking out. movie came out... i cried... i fell in love with them again. the end.
3. I want to say with all my heart Romeo + Juliet, but LOTR comes in an extremely close second, and probably should be tied with R+J.
4. Ok, this is an easy question, but the problem is there are so many... Romeo & Juliet (any version) makes me cry, but i've watched both versions for YEARS now, so i cant watch it too often, because i'm afraid it'll loose it's magic if i watch it too many times. THEN there's the Notebook. nuff said. THEN theirs Titanic... i start crying when jack goes ballistic with the chair and starts ramming it into the door. THEN there's the most recent movie that just makes me burst into tears... and that's Chronicals of Narnia. i start crying when the credits start rolling, and i have no idea why... THEN there's pretty much any children's movie where the mom dies, Ex: Land Before Time (the first one), or Call of the Wild (the bad version with lil Ethan Hawke), and so forth... i cant take it when moms die in kids movies. THEN there's Charlottes Web... i dont know what i'm going to do with this new live version...
TO SUM THIS UP: kids movies + mom dying = bawling. but i'm going to give the award to the movie that drenches me in tears to: A.I. one day i found it in my room, and i hadn't seen it in YEARS so i popped it in, and holy crap, i forgot just how powerful that movie is.
5. ooh... i like this question... hmm... so i'm trying to choose between Austin Powers, Elf, Dogma, and Amelie. Those four more than the rest just spark happiness... i mean, just the thought of those movies makes me just smile/giggle. I dont know if i can choose though.
